actually i heard from somewhere that albacore is better than light. but i forget where i got that from...

Just save your money and buy the cheap old regular tuna. Hell stock up when its 2 or even 3 cans for a buck.

The difference is Albacore tuna is all white meat. It is higher in EFA's and undoubtably tastes alot better. Regular tuna can, by FDA regultaions, contain other pelagic species such and Pacific Bonita ect. Regular tuna is cheaper yes but more fishy tasting.

And Albacore tuna pound for pound does not fight as hard as any of the other species, although I have never caught a Big Eye Tuna

In fact I've found that, sometimes, tuna really smells
So, I may stick with albacore !
