I hear it all the time "if it wasn't for god..." Or "God saved me from..." or "Because I found Jesus..."

So what about those people that get raped, murdered, deformed, disabled, burned, or born with horrific defects that make life unbearable. Did they have it coming?

its called free will....as i have been told! so god cannot stop a mans free will as far as rape goes..its the man who chose to rape the girl god steps in by helping the girl get past the rape and know that she is a great woman..it is a mans choice to give his life to god or not. ok fine so as far as birth defects go it has nothing to do with god.some mothers use drugs drink and what not. my son has a muscle disorder i dont blame god.i thank god every day for my son i am thankful that god gave me my son...he will have this prob all his life but he could have died at birth or what not but god delivered my son to me defect or no defect he is my baby.its all about how people see it.i could blame god but in my eyes god didnt do it..my son may have a bum muscle now and people may judge him for it but that is their choice!!!

I was raised Catholic. I've was told to pray for many years. I can't recall any being answered. So now what?

Well this was back in my first communion days. Before I was "lost". Then I decided to not get confirmed. Maybe that did it.

There is your problem dude. Catholics make a big deal out of tradition and religious pratices. Trust in what God and Jesus gave you and you will never be more at peace. Because the creation is meant to be with the creator. Just think how happy and baby and mother look together. It is the same with us and God.
