For those that have done CKD

I would like to do a CKD to lose some stubborn fat, however what worries me is that i'm hearing reports that there is a huge rebound effect after resuming normal eating, and that CKD can adversely effect TSH.

This is obviously not ideal to me, since doing CKD will not be a lifestyle change for me...I love the carbs too much. Can anyone share their experience with resuming normal eating after doing CKD for a few months?

CKD's are great for stripping off fat. I would highly recommend it.

As for comming off this type of diet, take your daily avg of carb grams you take in and each week on the ckd (usually under 10 or 20g)

Then, each wk add 20-25g to your daily carb intake.
example: -- on my CKD daily carbs for me are about 5-10g

---------------1st wk off the diet carb intake= 30-35g
---------------2nd wk off the ckd = 60-65g
--------------- etc.

Just keep adding back little by little until you reach the target carb amount for new diet (maintaining, bulk, etc).
ALA 100-200g 15-30min before each meal will help to keep the carbs from being stared as fat.

-Mr. X used to have some posts regarding this as well.

-Best of luck !!
