How come your washer and dryer are so far apart?

They neeed to be where they are for the water line and gas lines. they really are not as far apart as they seem.

yeh, my last house had the same somewhat awkward looking lines arrangement....as it was a slab house built on the ground i was disinclined to change the lines around.
