Got another question for you. I am gearing up for a meet in about 4 weeks.
I tried a new max effort exercise (for me anyways) I maxed out on thumb away from smooth grip with a pair of mini bands on the bench. I hit a hard 390lbsx1. Took the bands off and hit 5 reps raw 2 minutes later with 405 and a down set with 315 for 16.
I have 3 max effort days left plus a rest day the last wednesday. What would you recommend the exercises I should use if my sticking point is approx 3/4 of the way up. I feel like my shoulders are weak point.
I have bands and boards available but no chains.

First of all good luck at the meet.
I would do board press the 3rd week out, then rev. band press the 2nd week, then Rack Lockouts the last week. This is what Kenny Patterson does and his results speak for themselves.
You should drop bands from the Dyn day 3 weeks out from the meet, if you use them for bench.
For shoulder I would start doing side/rear raises, and upright rows one day. The other day I would do face pulls.

This is what I'll do going into my meet.
 
I would pretty much do the same thing. Except i would do boards 3 weeks out if you wanna revese band bench do that also 2nd week. Then 3 rd week do revesre band with 4 boards to a max. Actaully anything you do in the weak spot will address it some. If your shirt is tight enough for the bottom half dont waste time your last few workouts messin with it. SO i guess basically what i am saying is boards. With and without bands. I do this

boards no bands week 1
boards bands choked down week 2
boards bands suspended week 3
week of meet i do opener in shirt (mon) rest week off.
 
Thanks jay & Bigokie for the advice. I never did reverse band with boards. That should be interesting. I think I will try the board presses on week 2 with the mini bands.
