"My mom calls me last Saturday, asks me if I know about guitars (DUH!).
She bought some guitar at a garage sale for $15.00 because it looks "pretty" too her, about 10 years ago, (long story short)
It's a Weissenborn Style 1. Holy crap!!!!!
She was about to sell it for $50.00 bucks!
Glad I was home.....
It's funny to think that two little old ladys were doing a deal over a vintage guitar.... I'm laughing my butt off over it.. "

a mint Weiss, '28 or '29 would have me pulling $3500 out as a first offer to scare away the assnozzles and I would be happy to walk for $4500

I am buying at least a style 4 and if there is one in the right condition I will pick up a bowl back as well... hard to find them without structural flaws though....
