for all you opposed to going to war

I say you quite your little rallies, your marches and holding up your anti war signs in front of your local wal-mart. if you want to make a change, go to iraq and do it there. go tell them middle eastern towel heads that you don't want war, and your with the friendly's. what's up with all those chicks getting naked and protesting? go do that in iraq, go ahead, see what happens. WHAT?....WHAT'S WRONG? I'm sure them easterners like country folk.

uh... i'm all for war.. i'd like to see what the "towel heads" pull off... maybe a school or two? that'd be funny since we begged them to do it.

Fuck them. We should stop importing cotton so they can't wear those towels.

If Bush doesn't attack he looks like an idiot. If Bush does attack he looks like an idiot. I know he will attack so PLEASE GET IT THE FUCK OVER WITH! Bush is destroying the economy. This is stupid. TALK TALK TALK JUST FUCKING DO IT ALREADY!!!!

You think the economy is bad now? If Bush attacks without support you won't know what hit you. Think the US can finance a war by themselves? Are you willing to find out? It may be more economical for some people not work at all than gas up their SUV and commute to the job that they're going to be excessed from soon anyway.

Two words.

ulterior motive

I hear ya. I aint working right now. Partly cause i'm laid off, partly because the only jobs left pay $5.15 an hour and are 20 minutes away. By the time I spend for gas there goes the paycheck.

Hey necro, you just described the same situation I'm in. Almost identical, weird.

I agree with you Velvett.

Alot of people are in the same situation. It is seriously fucked. I was working 14 and 16 hour days, 6 and 7 days a week a few years ago. Bush got in office, it went down to 5 10's, 9/11 happened it went to 5 8's, then 4 8's, then no work. Which, no work was by the end of October '01. Haven't been working since. Which is fine. I seen what was coming and saved my money to wait out the 4 year(possibly 8 now) recession.

I for one DO mind not having work I would play russian roulette for 10 dollars an hour.

Well it sucks not working, but nothing I can do right now.

Where you at?

If someone suited me up and said go kill I would. I think it would be fun loading an enemy soldiers head with 5.56

I'd end up snapping like Rambo when I got back and start taking out redneck cops.

Its funny how the lefty protesters are wasting their time. Meanwhile we have had Delta on the ground in Iraq for months. The Iraqi army outside Baghdad will surrender. We will only need to really fight in the city. At night, in bio-suits. It might get hairy but we will win quickly of course.

Of course we will. Afterall the "Soldiers"(Read: women and children armed with rocks) are no match for the U.S.

Yup it sucks seeing things like B-52's flying over. They will surrender like they did in 91.

I dont get all the anti-war people. I understand they dont want people to die but dont they see that the Iraqi people will be allot better off with our puppet government installed? Freakin stupid liberals. If it was simply about oil we would invade Mexico and take their oil- which isn't a bad idea really. haha.

Bottom line: their are a shitload of anti-American radical muslims out there that want to FUCKING KILL US and we need to crush their support, starting with Saddam and working our way down the list. Syria,Iran, even Saudi Arabia- they will all fall in line. We will undoubtedly find them all to have terrorist ties and dispatch them one way or another. Then when we setup shop in the middle east we will have a better intelligence network so we can stop these people from killing us. If it was up to the liberals we would all sit around with our thumbs up our ass and complaining about prior government decisions while our malls, clubs and subways are blown up. Fuck that, its all about ACTION! Get this, my friend from Boston was telling me that a couple arab guys went to an aircraft sales business to inquire about buying a crop duster. The owner asked some questions, they got nervous and bailed. Can you fucking believe that? Gee, I wonder what some arab guys want a crop duster for. Those guys are still out there and I bet someone sells them a plane.

Now Nato looks like the fools they are, they can't back up their words.. "If you don't stop Mr. Hussein we will taunt you a second time" Since when do we need approval from every mud shack dictator to defend ourselves? Fuck the French, if it weren’t for US they would be speaking German, and if it weren’t for US the Germans would be speaking Russian.

I think Bush has waited too long, every day that goes by our economy slips a little more and confidence erodes. Had we popped Saddam right away nobody would have said a thing.

The hypocrisy of the protesters floors me. These Muslim scum dump countries beat and kill women like it going out of style, the human rights atrocities are astounding. So by being anti war, you are anti women’s rights.

BigRedCat: Better off with our puppet goverment? I hope so, but I fear it's only at first... remember that WE INSTALLED Saddam in the first place...look how he turned out to be.

Rumsfeld shaking Saddam's hand:

rummy-saddam.jpg

So spectre, are we REALLY going to "install" a better "democracy" this time... when is the last time we "installed" a benevolent "democracy" aka "dictatorship." If we install it, it's a dictatorship.... when was the last time anyone had a benevolent dictator? Especially in the mideast.

I love you guys who think that the opinions of other countries are simply irrelevant. Talk about arrogance.

BRC, now if we are really going to do something useful and go after the Saudis, than GREAT, let's dump Israel while we're at it, but somehow I dont see that in the near future.

And again,

WHY DO NONE OF YOU QUESTION THE FACT THAT SUDDENLY 'BIN LADEN IS NOT IMPORTANT'

George Bush:

September 13, 2001:
"The most important thing is for us to find Osama Bin Laden. It's our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."

March 13, 2002:
"I don't know where he is. I have no idea and I really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."

I personally am more concerned with Bin Laden, the one who masterminded 5 fucking terrorist attacks against the US in the past 12 years, than Saddam, who has masterminded ZERO.

I agree that Saddam is bad news regardless, and needs to go, BUT NOT LIKE THIS. The situation IS NOT SO URGENT that we need to alienate the entire world doing so.

Btw, the Bushies and the Bin Ladens go way back...one member of the Bin Laden family helped fund junior Bushie's first oil companies. Cute isnt it.

Saddam Hussein WAS the USA's puppet. Saddam started to get too strong and act too independently - hence the 1991 Gulf War to slap him down again.

The Iraqi people are unlikely to be "better off" with anything the US does. The USA has killed more Iraqis than Saddam ever has with his chemical weapons. The USA is about to go and kill several thousand more. Remember, half of Iraq's people are kiddies under 14. So most people being killed in the US "liberation" are probably going to be children.

You don't need to invade Mexico, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, etc., for their oil because you already control them. If Saudi Arabia resisted this control in the way that Iran has done, your country and media would vilify them like it does Iran. If Mexico resisted US control it would end up like Cuba. The CIA is currently trying to undermine Venezuela's new president because he isn't pro-American enough.

In international relations such countries are known as "client states". The US is so powerful now that its foreign policy is basically to turn all the world's countries into client states. It does this through economic control - boycotts, sanctions, etc. If this doesn't work (as it almost always does) it then invades the country. There is no USSR anymore to hold the USA's leash.

The reason the Australian government is supporting the USA, despite so much public opposition, is because it won't get a free trade agreement otherwise. This is an example of how the US uses its economic control. The friendlier you are to America the better your situation. The British know this, so does Israel. Those closest to the throne get the goodies.

If you resist you are in big trouble. Just look at the condition of countries who refuse this control, i.e. North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Iraq - they are a total mess. There are FAR FAR worse countries and regimes, but they are American allies. So it is the above four which are the targets of the strongest propaganda.

Bottom line: their are a shitload of anti-American radical muslims out there that want to FUCKING KILL US and we need to crush their support, starting with Saddam and working our way down the list. [/B]

Well actually Saddam is a secular socialist. Just in case you don't know what that means: HE DOES NOT LIKE ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISTS! He has actively eroded the influence of Islam in Iraqi society.

In fact Saddam has been one of the main people in the Middle East trying to suppress Islamic fundamentalism. Why do you think he was at war with Islamic fundamentalist Iran for so many years. Gee, and guess who was one of his main suppliers of his weapons - the good old US of A.

Syria,Iran, even Saudi Arabia- they will all fall in line. We will undoubtedly find them all to have terrorist ties and dispatch them one way or another. Then when we setup shop in the middle east we will have a better intelligence network so we can stop these people from killing us. [/B]

Well actually Saudi Arabia is an American ally. The reason why so many Saudis hate the US is because their government is an unelected, repressive regime created by the CIA.

The USA has more widespread terrorist ties than any other country. In fact the "evil" Taliban were funded for years by the USA. It was the "commie" Russians who were trying to rid Afghanistan of them. Central America is another place where the US supports terrosrists. We can only estimate how many people have been killed by CIA funded death squads in the last 30 years!

If it was up to the liberals we would all sit around with our thumbs up our ass and complaining about prior government decisions while our malls, clubs and subways are blown up. Fuck that, its all about ACTION! [/B]

OK, so basically your reasoning is as follows: Because the USA went and fucked up their countries for its own self-interest, they hate you. They fight back with terrorism because military conflict doesn't work - i.e. look what happened to Iraq. So the way to stop this terrorism is to go and fuck up their countries some more then the terrorism will stop.

Well this crop duster episode is another example of how there is so much more al-qaeda activity in the USA than in Iraq which is a sworn enemy of Osama Bin Laden. You're unlikey to have been told this by your propaganda machine though. If you want to bomb places with Al-qaeda activity then you should bomb Florida instead.

The US media is scary. We get CNN, ABC, NBC where I live. It is terrorfying to watch the coverage. Americans are so convinced that you are "free" that this blinds you to rampant manipulation of facts in your "free" press. You guys are rarely ever told a balanced story. Even when the truth is told it is told in a really biased way. This is a situation straight from George Orwell's book : "1984".

Well the US isn't "defending" itself by invading a much smaller, poorer country. It is being an aggressor in the same way that Nazi Germany wasn't "defending itself" from smaller poorer Poland when it invaded it.

Nato isn't being split by the French and Germans. It is being split by the US trying to ram through preparations for a foolish and illegal war.

There is no obligation on the part of the French and Germans to sanction an imperialistic US war because of some historical debt. If it wasn't for my mother I wouldn't be where I am today. That doesn't mean I am obliged to join her in doing something stupid or murder someone for her.

The world is also aware that Iraq's "weapons of mass destruction" are far fewer than pretty much everyone else's in the region. Iraq is not a big threat. The world is resisting the US because it knows that the whole WMD thing is a pretext for the following goals which are the real reason for the war:

1. Regaining control of Iraq's oil.

2. Detracting attention from the fact that the "war against terror"
has failed. Instead the US is occupying people with Iraq, and
hijacking the outrage of 9/11 to achieve its goals by
manufacturing a bullshit link between it and Al Qaeda.

3. Justifying military spending to keep the arms manufacturers
happy and the flow of tax payer funded contracts going to the
corporates who control the US government.

I think Bush has waited too long, every day that goes by our economy slips a little more and confidence erodes. Had we popped Saddam right away nobody would have said a thing.

It is the USA that has mastered the art of hyposcrisy. The name "Israel" jumps to mind. The protesters are quite consistent with their arguments. US foriegn policy is a marvel of inconsistent opportunism and double standards.

Prior to 1991 Iraq was the most progressive country in the Arab world in the treatment of women. It was, and still is, miles ahead of US allies like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

The Human Rights atrocities of countries supported by the USA are astounding, as are the atrocities committed by the US in 1991.

I think most Americans believe this too. In contrast I think this whole campaign is going to be a disaster. The enitre middle east is going to go up in flames. The US is going to find itself isolated with few allies and a massive mess on its hands.

I have already fixed my mortage. I don't want be hit by the massive interest rate rises when the price of oil goes through the roof. Most of it will be cut of by the civil wars that will topple all the pro-American governments in the region.

The French and Germans will be saying "we told you so".
