i have always had a problem figuring out what to eat at work for my between meal snacks. its usually a protein shake, but i would prefer real food. lets hear what everyone is eating. anyone eating real food?

I just bring a plastic container of food I cook the night before + fork.

thats what i do for lunch, but i eat 3 meals while im at work. i've thought about making 3 seperate meals, but it would take a lot of time to make and i would need a backpak to carry it all.

not enough protein. i used to bring protein bars, but they are expensive, and ive heard too many complaints about the quality of protein in all protein bars.

Try 2 solid meals in tupperware and a protein shake with milk . Just get a shaker bottle. That would be the best compromise I think.

eggs (cooked) are convenient

hardboiled?

Yes

so that you can remove the yolk if you don't want to take too many calories/fat

- tuna (in tupperware), together with tomatoes, paprika or other low carb stuff you like
- meat, steaks, you prepare it in the morning and eat it cold in the office
- low fat milk
- cold cuts of meat (or how do you call that)
- cottage cheese

If you have a fridge &/or microwave your options are greater.....

--- scrambled egg whites with salsa, catsup (keto, etc)
--- add veggie sausage to the above if you want
---- veggie chili with chicken or other meat
---- canned tuna mixed with avocado
----- salads
----- turkey meat rolled up with mustard & a pickle inside (if you can have the pickle -- yummy!)
---- protein pancakes made with oatmeal egg whites & protein powder, sugar free syrup (if made thin like a crepe you can roll it up & dip)

Chicken breast cut in chunks with tons of raw broc or spinach
Tuna is very convenient
beef or turkey patties

Those are my work staples.

I also have a shake mixer at work for the shakes.

Also, if you have your own work area, like a desk, you can keep certain things there, like olive oil, multi vits, walnuts/almonds/peanuts, protein powder, etc... That way you don't have to pack and carry so much stuff everyday.

do you cook your spinach? if so, how do you cook it? ive cooked spinach a few times and it leaves a weird taste in my mouth.

No, I eat them raw. Just pour on some olive oil and a tad of balsamic for taste.

cook chicken breasts skin on the night before and then rip the meat off the bones, throw it into tupperware with a cup of brown rice and mix it up...quality protein and carbs right there, and bring a jar of cashews/peanuts for fat
