some food help us get asleep like turkey, milk,... because they contain the amino acid tryptophan


but are there foods than prevent us from getting asleep ?

Interesting question though. I would like to see the answer if you come up with it. I know it seems like some nights I cant get to bed even though I havent trained or taken anything that should prevent me from sleeping. In my case it may be anxiety or something like that though.
