Folly Beach, South Carolina???

Folly beach is aright, but Aisle of Palms is much nicer, and less crowded. I suggest you check out both, just go over the Charleston bridge to go to Aisle of Palms, after you go over the bridge you'll see signs. BTW, Gold's gym on Folly beach is pretty nice, you'll see it on the right in the shopping center as your going down the main Rd to Folly. But seriously, Aisle of Palms dude, much nicer beach, and only like 20 minutes away from Folly.

You'll have to let me know how you like it. I'm sure it'll be packed to the gills with people and NO PARKING spaces. lol Soooo Cape Cod, right?


I can recall going to the Cape as a child, many mooooons ago, and having the entire beach almost to myself. Man, those times have changed. EVEN the private beaches are NOT private anymore!

Thanks for this great feedback, you made my day (Golds near Folly's). I have no choice but to stay at Folly, my friend rented a 5 bedroom house near where I am staying for a big beach blast. I'll make sure I get over to Aisle of Palms too.

I think this is very different than the Cape, but I'll let you know. I grew up most of my summers on the cape (Hyannis area) and remember some areas of quiet but it was always rocking in the summer months. It was great in the colllege years to work down there in the summers, like a 3 month party. We go to Cape Ann now in the summers (North) very beautiful.

Yeah, I have family in Duxbury, as you know. I like Aunt Vals beach(Duxbury)- it's not as nice as on the Cape IMO. It's kinda stoney with all the sea grass to wade thru. Not too many people, so I love that quality!

My other aunt has a home on Martha's Vineyard- WHICH is perfect since it's TOTALLY private! If I win the lotto, I'm so on the Vineyard!

I go to Duxbury beach a few times each summer when the surf is up, I love it there. The Vineyard is wonderful in the summer but very lonely in the winter...I'd love a home there.
