Flying with gear/needles..

I'd get one of those diabetic travel kits, take all the labels off and keep it in your carry-on bag, and if anyone asks, use the diabetic excuse. If anyone asks what happened to the labels tell them the vial got frosty and the label got wet and just started falling off. If they do ask, tell them you have type 2 diabetes. If you're really paranoid, throw a couple of snickers bars in the bag and go buy a blood glucose monitor to take with you (you can return it when you get back home.)

bab is right. FAA regulations state that you only need a reason for needles for carry on. If you check your bag and they come across the needles they cant do anything about it. I would assume its not illegal to posess a needle in canada. But tear the labels of the test. Dont announce you have the shit.

The severity of the issue can vary depending on where you are going?

Check first to see if they are available locally without a prescription. If you don't need a script to buy meds there, chances are you should be able to get them.

If not, I would just mail order some and have them delivered there.

I travel internationally quiet often and I have seen people stopped for pretty stupid things even with baggage that is to be checked in. The whole point is, if you get stopped for the pins, chances are they will find what you are going to use them for. Just not worth the hassle if you ask me. I'd rather hear about what a great time you had on your trip rather than something negative.

Have a safe trip

BTW...Thank's alot to all you god damn so called muslims for making things so convenient for the rest of the world. You guys are so smart. I'm sure your children will thank you for it in the future.
