Florida peeps...

florida is pretty cool... stayed there for a few weeks my sophmore year in HS and got with this hot freshman in college the whole time...

I don't know shit about what was in the powerpoint... job/economy growth, overwhelming debt/budget shortfalls... kind of like everwhere right now I think.

Present power prices are increasing at a ridiculous rate due to all the hurricanes taking out power lines. Instead of the power companies planning for such events and putting money aside to fix these probs, they have decided to increase power bills by sometimes as high as $200/month. Many people are blaming the new meters that are being installed. These meters allow meterreaders to receive the data electronically from their truck. What can you do though? The power companies know it's a monopoly and there's not a damn thing we can do about it. If there was any type of unity among people anymore, everyone should radically conserve energy for a couple months to make a dent in their ever growing pockets. Prob with that though is that they could always raise rates again to compensate for such actions. So, again, we can't do shit about it.

Well, I do hope the projected info for the housing market is true, I moved down here 8 month ago and I am renting a house on the water in Treasure Island. I'd love to buy it (if they decide to sell) but if the prices inflate anymore I'd have trouble stomaching the house payment. It does seem like here in pinellas county that the housing market is getting a bit flooded and that prices might be flattening out.....we'll see.
