Flax seed away from carbs

Well, I've been told by numerous people that I should take my flax away from carbs....so I've moved it to my last meal of the day, which comes at 7pm (about 2hrs before bed) that consists of either Tuna, Cottage Cheese, or a protein shake made with water consisting of 30grams protein, along with a tbsp of flax.

Sounds good, I also take my flaxseed oil in the last meal of the day too. Some people say don't mix carbs and fats, but until they show me some scientific proof or a good explanation that it promotes fat storage by combining the two, I'll keep combining them, I have no problem losing body fat when combining the two. But anyway, last meal looks great. Oh, don't take a protein shake as last meal, assuming it's whey protein, it digests too fast, you'll want cottage cheese or meat as the last meal of the day.

I never heard Whey Protein will digest into fat if you take it before bedtime? I always heard that you should drink some protein right before bed so it'll help build while your sleep. I mean the Whey has no fat or carbs. Just callories. And anything else would have more fat or callories. So how do you figure it turns into fat?

oops, typo, I meant it digests too FAST, I was typing this when I first got out of bed while I was waiting for my oatmeal to cook, haven't awaken fully yet.

if you add flax to the pre bed whey shake it should slow down the whey aborbtion shouldnt it?

Not necessarily, there is an article, I wished I had the link, that shows how the fat will not slow down the absorption of the whey protein shake. However, if taken with milk, that will slow down the absorption of it. But cottage cheese or meat (lean beef, chicken, tuna) is better for the last meal of the day. If I find the article I'll post the link. One thing that is kind of confusing though that I am trying to find out about is, milk is 80% casein which is a slow digesting protein, but whey comes from milk, so I'm not 100% sure why whey is so fast digesting and milk is slow. Maybe it's the protein structure that causes this? Anybody know?
