Flagged address myth or truth?

test-monkey said:
is it just a myth or is it true, that once you get a package seized by customes, and your address get's flagged, you will never receive an other package (international) to that address again?

Why? Why? Why would you want to throw the dice on that situation?

well I would never, but a buddy had a seized package with a few more comming, as well as the resent seized one, so he is very worried. he would never reorder to the same address, but it's already been done before the seized letter.

In one word-myth. I've had a couple packages seized and since had many come thru no probs. I know what countries I can order from and the ones I can't. All depends on where your package comes thru at. I know for a fact that if your package goes thru Dallas/Ft.Worth customs or San Fran your screwed. I have other packages with juice/pills falling out make it in (obviously from differant ports). Just depends on what part of the country your in and how USPS routes it and where it clears. Just my two cents

I use to work for USPS, and NO nor do customs ( got 2 GF's that work for them) flags addies unless you have already been caught but usually it is the source that is already being investigated. About all they will do is send you siezure letters and notification of violation. Flagged addies aren't necessarily true for overseas either because I have recieved 2 big orders a yr ago from overseas. I can give you more info later.

peace

My buddy had one seized and his source reshipped three weeks later and he got his package in a week. The first order was small but I don't know if the quantity of gear plays a role.

has anyone gotten something seized, and then got it resent to the same address or kept getting other packages sent to the same address without any problems?

I have, knock on wood, still no more seizures since that one

I think bros are try to draw hard and fast rules based on their experiences. If a package has been seized coming to an address, it is a good idea to have future orders, including the re-send to another address. Do some get through to the same addy.? Of course, its just a numbers game. The fact is that yopu want the best chance of getting your package and its so easy to open an addy, so why risk it? Senders and receivers do get flagged and while this doesn't eliminate any possibility of receiving from or to, it reduces the odds. Why not get the odds back up when its as easy as walking to a mailboxes etc.? Just my 2 cents, but if you're gonna put yourself out their to save the cash by going international, you should take the steps necessary to protect yourself.

thank you all- you have been all helpful, my friend know's that he must change address, and already has, it's just the packages that are already coming was his concern, but they are very small any way so I told him not to worry so much.
