our secondary is better, especially if seahorn is healthy. since we lost only two starters on defense, (armstead and garnes) it didn't do much damage so our d is going to be a little better. keith hamilton played injured but is healthy once again.
our TE position has improved. we have a good crop of young wide receivers and running backs. benett is healthy so that is a big plus.
the verdict isn't in for the offensive line and special teams yet.

armstead has got to hurt... at least in my opinion the eagles actually improved on trotter... who is the new OLB?

But the last time the NY Giants put together a new offensive line they went to the Superbowl. We will see how they do.
Armstead shouldn't have been let go. They should have cut Seahorn's salary and given him the money.

seahorn needs to go... they improved in last years draft in the db category and that guy sucks money and watches hurt.
Yo Madbomber, I'm picking the Eagles to win the Superbowl this year. I think they match up well with all the other NFC powerhouses and are no longer afraid of the Rams after last year's title game. I would have liked to see them get a running back other than Levens, but for some reason I think they can overtake the Rams. I see the Rams having some injury problems this year. The Eagles versus the Steelers in the Big Dance. Look out for the Colts in the AFC too, pending Edgerrin James health and ability to return to dominance. Even with weak personnel on defense, Dungy's schemes can get them past all most of the finesse offenses in the AFC...

colts would be my dark horse.. i think the loss of rhodes sucks since who knows how edge will do.. but like you said, dungy is a defensive mastermind... and they still got that manning/harrison death threat... and that in itself opens up running lanes for any back.
now, i'm picking the fish and birds to play in the big one..
as for the eagles, i said they matched up well before week one last year... but i guess not well enough, losing 2 very close tight games... broke my heart.
they drafted 3 db's in the first 2 rounds of the draft for one reason and one reason only... the rams. i mean, they actually think a rookie is going to take al harris' job, and people have been saying harris could start on 20 teams in the NFL... so if harris ends up being the FOURTH best corner on the team???? that says something right there.
