Fish jerky?

Raina said:
I accidentally made it one night when I overcooked some walleye. It was a waste of perfectly lovely fish.

honey, you just say shitty fish jerky ?

i heard not righ, but i said jeef is good with beer and/or sweet sour sauce+milk yum

It was supposed to be baked walleye fillets....not jerky. I'm sure fish jerky could be good but really dry overfished fish is icky.

this actually turned out to be kippered herring, and I assume it was similar to kippered beef which is beef jerky, it was ok with plum sauce but really fishy, more so than most fish,if you know what I mean, and it didnt sit to well with milk, but I ate half the can

I make Pepperoni Cured and Maple Cured (with Cayenne) Salmon Jerky every summer, our summer place overlooks a Salmon Fishing River, so fresh product is not much of a problem... the Smoking wood is a serious problem, all that is native here in that department is Birch, not a good choice. I imported a pallet of chipped Wine Grape Vines a couple years ago, that was some wicked good smoke, but alder and apple woods are my all time favorites for fish.

i was jk about the milk and soy sauce or sweet&sour sauce , hehe
