First time w/ pct zits...question for experienced guys

Hey,
I have always run clomid for pct...never had any emotional probs, just a couple of zits - no biggie. I am 10 days into pct and Have got many more than I think is ok on my back and shoulders. I dont know if I have suddenly become sensitive to clomid or what. Do you get acne problems when you run just nolva pct (or maybe nolva and less clomid). I do not want to have this issue again

Thanks for yer help

Curious, what did your cycle consist of, and have you changed your clomid dosage from previous cycles? Also, did you utilize an estrogen blocker during your cycle at all? You probably realize when your hormones are imbalanced, and you're quickly trying to raise test levels and lower estrogen levels, this is prime time for acne/zits.

I personally have not noticed a direct effect, or discrete difference that I could point to, of nolva versus clomid causing acne. If you happened to raise your test levels quicker this time (or lower estrogen levels quicker) compared to previous cycles, that could be a cause. That could possibly be attributed to a different estrogen blocker dosage.

May be a bit off topic from what you are asking, but in the meantime, you could use some high dosage B-5 (pantothenic acid) and get some Neutrogena Body Wash and/or Body Scrub. Both of these treatments have worked wonders for me, and I have no acne/zit problems post cycle anymore. The B-5 will help you to balance your hormones, but you want to be sure not to have an imabalance of one particular B vitamin or it will interefere with assimilation. Thus, B-complex is in order in addition to high dosage B-5 if you choose to go that route.

Good luck bro, hope some of that helps.

Thanks for the feedback. I did change things up a little and did not think that it would have an impact but clearly they did. I really appreciete the time you took in your response. How high a dose of b-5 do you take?

Not sure what zips takes but I did 5000mg for 2 weeks, 3000mg for 2 weeks, and then take 1000 daily. That worked pretty good with me. I got pct coming up in about 6 weeks and I'm not going to take any chances this time, so I'm going to go with 20mg eod of accutane. I hope it gets better for you bro because theres nothing worse than getting the body you want and not want to show it because of some freakin' acne.

Thanks for the input stainless (the 3,000 mg is a daily dose correct?)...have to spread K before giving it 2 u...where u get your b5? also how much b-complex are you taking with it?

I usually have 600 mg B-5 capusles and take 6 - 8 daily. I usually start off at 3,600 mg for a few days and then my regular dose is 4,800 mg. There are no real negative side effects at these dosages (up to 10,000 mg I have read), however you should adjust yourself to high doses of B-5 for your first time because it can cause some diarrhea type problems, that seems to be the common and only known side effect I have heard of.

Note this isn't a rapid cure type of thing, more preventative, but very effective when taken regularly. Again, it has worked very well for me since I had a small acne episode, I have been very pleased.

Accutane works of course, but it scares me.

Shower before bed with that Neutrogena Body Wash and change your sheets every other night or so. Dab zits with Clearasil Ultra. Tanning regularly in the fake n bake helps to keep my skin clear too.
