first time t3

Are you running growth?
If not, I see no reason to even run a T3. You can good results off of other lesser ancillaries or diuretics.
How many mcg is it.

I suggest, DONT RUN ANY T3. Look at my post before.

Only thing you gonna do is risk down regulting your own thyroid production. Then you damn sure gonna need it. LOL....

Pump it Up BIG DADDY!

If you use T3, just try a light dose of 25mcg p/d for 6 weeks. Low dose will stimulate your parathyroid a bit to metabolized fat and carbs. T4 is not a strong as T3, but 100mcg p/d is a good safe all purpose dose. You can stack the two together. If you respond to the T3, the next time you use it, you can go higher in dose and pyramid the stack.

My doc says T4 can permanently suppress you, but T3 can't. Go figure...

That's weird because from what I remember from systems physiology, T4 is just the inactive form of T3 (T4 is just T3 before one of the iodines is stripped off to make the active form T3).

Hmmm...I've never even given T3 or T4 a thought, so I haven't researched it. My advice, don't mess with either of them.

Right, but since its T4 that converts to T3... fuck, I dunno. I figure it amplifies things too much in a different part of the enzyme equation. I have no idea.

I wish I didn't need a whole nother year's worth of pre-rec's to take Endocrinology.

What I was thinking, and it's probably way off...but maybe if you take too much T4, this halts the body's production of T4, without which T3 cannot be synthesized. But if you are just taking the T3, T4 is still made by the body, however, it is not converted to T3 via the cleavage of the 4th Iodine. So when you stop the T3, there is still T4 in the body to be converted to T3.

Just a thought...like i said...probably NO scientific evidence of this...I don't even know if your doc was right...so please, no one use this theory in any way, shape or form.:)

Sure did make me feel nice to have him say:

"Testsoterone Enanthate at 400mg/week isn't dangerous, no. I don't have a problem with that for that time period... but you need to think about your long term goal with this."

And then:

"T3 at 100mcg for 6 weeks? No, that won't suppress you. T4 will."

He is NASA's doctor here in Moscow, so out of convenience I have decided that he knows his shit, and I'm gonna be fine. I have convinced myself that they use all this shit in the space program, so he knows all about it.

Actually you're right on. Taking T3 usually will have no effect on your thyroid.

It just seems weird that there would be no long loop feed back to the hypothalamus to stop TSH production, or even a short loop feedback to the thyroid . Anyone know for sure?
