First Delt injection wierdness

I did my first ever Delt injection. I normally hit glutes. So i'm looking in the mirror and first of all it was more awkward than I thought to reach over and stick it in the delt as per the pic on www.spotinjections.com

anyway, i stick it in and there is no pain but my damn delts start twitching like crazy. so i take the pin out, swab again, and stick it about half an inch from where i just stuck it the first time. same thing, my delt starts twitching. so i took it out, swabbed my glute and stuck it like usual. anyone else have this problem with delt?

I read about this happening to someone earlier this week and the consensus was that he had hit a nerve and that it wasn't really a bad thing. Just happens some times.

Sounds like a nerve or muscle stimuli reaction. It happens....

Same thing has happened to me doing calf injections. It's just the muscle spasming. I left the needle in and it went away in about 15 seconds.

That's what it feels like, a muscle spasm. Maybe I'll leave it in a while next time before pulling it out.
