First cycle log test E and var

Started my first injectable cycle yesterday. Been hashing it out for a while.
History: lifting 25+ years. Some powerlifting but mostly for mma and now BJJ. Currently 5'8" at 198-200 pounds any given day. Getting a BF taken tonight, but I'd guess around 16%.
Cycle history: Hdrol run last spring. Osta/s-4 run plus just finished LGD/GW run.

I do 5/3/1 with a pretty weird assistance template that is modeled after Martin Rooney's hurricane workout.

Cycle:
Weeks 1-16 test E 250/week
Weeks 1-6 var 75 / day
Weeks 13-18 var 75/day
Weeks 17-18 HCG blast

On cycle support:
N2guard and liver support, aromisin (not sure yet 12.5 e3d possibly), hCGenerate during cruise period between orals.
Taurine 5/day
PCT:
Clomid 25/25/12.5/12.5
Post cycle/unleashed
Forma
Osta or LGD (not sure yet. Had no suppression on LGD)

Bridge:
Osta or LGD
HCGenerate

I'll be logging my big 4 lifts and general notes here, for people's information. Use what you want. Constructive criticism taken.

Goals are a recomp/slight cut. I'd like to stay around 193 for BJJ purposes but gain some strength, maybe 10-15%. I think this is doable with the given choices and fresh receptors.

Diet is good. On point 6 days, 1 day re-feed/cheat. I'm coming off of 4 months of eating what I want while not grappling, so I'm actually looking forward to a little dieting.

I also have a full log on another site I've kept for several years. If anybody is interested message me as I am not sure on the rules about linking to another board. I have pictures and measurement numbers I'll post in a follow up later on, along with my current numbers in the big 4 lifts.

Me too. Only thing I'm worried about so far.

Day 1. Nothing of real importance yet.

I can't afford to gain too much weight in a hurry. I may bump to 300, but that will be the limit. I still have a weight class to make.
 
I gotcha, try and see how your natural test levels are. Sometimes with low doses of test like that it's merely the same amount of test as you produce naturally. Which is the same as not injecting.
 
I'm thinking 250 - ester weight is still gonna give me 3-4x normal. I may adjust a little but not much, I want the var to do the majority of the work.
I did have pre-bloods pulled but I didn't them back yet. In September test levels were around 450ng/DL.

GHR 4x12 against a single loop of a micro band. I actually have a few knots in it. Regular mini is still too much.

Rest of workout small increases in everything but nothing unusual.

Nothing to report on effects yet other than I got a deep bruise from my first pin. Too deep or injected to fast maybe. I was thinking of moving a little lower on the quad next time and only going an inch deep. Any opinions?

Why not try glutes or delts.. I find them way more comfortable for pinning.. Especially when I was on my 1st cycle

Day 4

Off from weights. Did a treadmill workout and BJJ drilling for about 90 minutes.

Cheat day on food and I did it up. After a normal breakfast of egg whites and 1%, I had spiced chicken chipotle for lunch and them corned beef casserole, vegetable beef soup, and enough garlic bread to stuff a turkey for dinner. I am gonna have some protein only later.

On the cycle front, I am not sure but my injured wrist is feeling immensely better. Collagen synthesis from the var? Already? May be placebo? Doesn't matter I'll take it.

Also I'm gonna do a more thorough post on my numbers tomorrow. Pics if I can figure it out.

Assistance work up small increments. Lost a rep from last cycle on bench, but also lost a few on the scale as well. Weight at 198.0, down about 2lbs. Nothing else to report.

Everything else up a little nothing unusual. Experienced some back pump, but nothing I couldn't get through. Also calves got a massive pump at the end. 2nd pin tonight. 250mgs.

These are my numbers from the end of my last 5/3/1 meso-cycle. These are not actual maxes, they are using Wendlers formula and they are all a little heavy, probably 10-12% over actual. I like to use them to track progress since I never hit 100% singles. Listed second is what I actually hit to get the numbers.

Bench 261. 206.5x8
Squats 393. 287.5x11
OHP 191. 151x8
DL 440. 330.5x10 (1")

Wanted to do a treadmill workout but pip was too bad.

BJJ live 5x5:00. They were torture. I had to bail after 5.

Got some tips from guys on here about minimizing it. Definitely trying glutes next time.

Assistance work was up a bit more than usual. Think the var might be starting to kick.
Wrapped my leg in a neoprene wrap and it felt much better. Also reduced a fair bit of the swelling.

Treadmill workout and BJJ. Leg is still a mess. Probably still looking at 2-3 " of swelling. Tender to touch and stretching the quad is like having it blowtorched.

Decent workout, nothing mind blowing. Leg is still swelled to hell and painful to the touch. I'm really starting to worry about this Glute shot on Monday. If it goes bad, I'm gonna be in a world of hurt for a lot of days.

Everything else up about normal, maybe a little extra. Weight is staying stubbornly high, 200.6lbs. Gotta get in better shape so I can condition harder, usually does the trick.

On a side note, my phone app refuses to load. Anybody else having problems with it? I've deleted and reloaded it a bunch of times with no luck.

Pretty decent workout considering how tired I was. Assistance up normal amounts. I forgot to take my taurine today and I paid the price a little bit. Nothing I couldn't handle, just not pleasant.

Pinned 250mg today. #3 in right Glute as suggested. Hope this works, if not I'm looking at 4-5 really miserable days.
 
There might be a bit of pip because it's a virgin muscle but it shouldn't be anywhere near as bad as the quad.

Yesterday's shot is feeling great. Tad bit of pip about an inch or so in diameter, barely even noticeable. Looks like its glutes for me.

Pretty decent day. Kept carbs under 100 and was still feeling strong. Gonna have another under 100 day tomorrow. Gotta get moving on this weight. Gonna order some GW in the next few days and run a month of it. Thinking of ordering a short supply of albuterol, but haven't decided. Could order it and them sit on it if I don't use it immediately. Gotta order the last item for my PCT first (Osta is the only thing I don't have in hand).

Great workout. Up 3 reps at 90% weight and 2 reps at 97.5%. Pulldowns up and easy. Something has definitely kicked. The var I suspect. I looked back in my logs and my Hdrol run kicked in on the 18th day and this is day 18. My weight is staying the same but I'm pretty sure I'm leaning out. I'll get a weight check tomorrow. Squats tomorrow.

Felt really good. Pinning 300 test tonight. Weight was up to 199.5 today. I think my cut is turning into a recomp. I think I'm gaining muscle a little bit more that I thought I would on this calorie restriction.

75 carbs today. A tad higher than I wanted. I'll be under 50 tomorrow for sure.

I read them.. Most are pretty uneventful so I would really comment.

And in the logs I've read people quit early or have some crazy side effect or go off and get drunk and ruin stuff. So its refreshing to have a proper log. Simple but effective

Today was the first day I really had some issues with pumps. I could feel it in my arms, but it really started affecting me in the lower back. The last few treadmill sprints were torture. I had some extra carbs last night, probably about 40-50. I wonder if that's the culprit. Seems like an insignificant amount but I've been decently low on carbs for a few weeks now, so maybe. Everything else feels great. Pinned 300 test left glute just now, no problems. HIIT and BJJ tomorrow, OHP Wednesday. Thursday I'm off for a doctors appointment in the city and taking the daughter to a pirate game. I'm skipping Friday dead lift for a BJJ tournament in Saturday. We'll see how I fair. I'm not sure I'm in great shape, and I'm worried about pumps being an issue during the matches.

Little high on carbs again today at 94.

Everything else up substantially. Going great. Had some pump issues again but I was expecting them a little bit. I experimented with 100 carbs extra last night to see if that might be a trigger to excessive pumps and it did happen again. Coincidence? Anybody? I'm thinking I'll try it one more time and see what happens.
Strength is definitely increasing. I'm going to order GW and albuterol Monday. I also want to pick up my Osta and I think I'm gonna get more aromisin and up my dose a tad. It feels like I'm holding some extra water I don't need.
One more week of var then I'm cruising on test at 300 for 6 weeks and hitting the var again for a final 6, into pct.
 
Lots of water and taurine help a bit with the pumps. Hopefully during your matches they won't be an issue

Been off since Wednesday. Ate too much food on our city trip, and even had 1 beer at the ballpark (I know, but it was only 1). Did Grapppling tournament today. Got bumped up to 200+, which sucked a little. Went 2-0 and got 2nd. Pulled my groin and had to forfeit the finals. On a good note I tapped a 22 year old D-1 wrestler with and inverted heel hook. Let that be a lesson kiddies, don't wear shoes to a grappling match and don't assume your guy can't wrestle.

Well see where I'm falling BF wise before I decide on the albuterol. The GW is a definite for this next tournament. Also upping my aromisin to 12.5 ed for now. I think I let my estro climb too high and I feel line I'm holding water because of it. I'll know for sure after the var starts to clear whether its pump or bloat.

75 carbs for the day. Not too bad. Hard for me to get any lower without going a little loopy. It's better when I'm very busy, then I don't think about it as much.

Called it here. I got sick last night/today and two movements was all I could muster.
Carbs at 100. Little higher for a big practice tomorrow at another gym.

Numbers so far;
Bench +11.5%
Squats +16%
OHP +11.5%
DL +5.7%

Pretty happy with them all except DL. I think it is for 2 reasons. One, when I hit 2" deficit I really struggle. It's almost like a new lift for me. I'm confident it'll fire up next cycle as I'll drop to the floor and rebuild. The other is being sick today. I think normally I'd have had another 2-3 even with the deficit.

Body weight from ~202-205 range to a pretty consistent 198. BF just a guess but probably from 17 to 12ish%. I'm gonna post before and current pics this weekend. They aren't real good but hopefully show a change.
 
Hahaha. In the sorta double bicep, you can really see my dislocated rib cartridge sticking out. Never did when I was fat.

Assistance weights up decent but cardio was a problem. Guess my lungs aren't as clear of flem as I thought. It felt like the wife was giving me a Cleveland Steamer for half the workout.
Under 50 carbs today, but I'm thinking about having some brown rice tonight with my chicken. Feel like I need a little more carbs for squats tomorrow to overcome my cardio deficit.

I've seen that on wrestlers and grappler and never knew what it was.. it always looks painful as shit

Also you have definitely tightened up the mid section and your leaning out.. veins on the bis are always good.. your back is thick as fuck..

Pretty good. No problems or sides. I'm at 400 a week right now. Doing aromisin 12.5 mwf. Gonna keep cruising on this for a few more weeks then adding var back in to finish.

Assistance up some, nothing crazy. My assistance on lower days is a little more prehab and conditioning oriented. After squats and DL my joints won't take to much more on those days.
Pretty decent though. Going to pin another 400mg's tonight (9th pin) and have one more meal. 50 carbs today.
Wind is getting a little better. If we could get a few 70 degree days I'd be right as rain. BJJ tonight and HIIT tomorrow. I may have to miss practice Thursday. Daughter has to have a tooth pulled.
I'm thinking about taking a feature match at a small tournament. Guy is a purple which is up my alley, but he's a hoss, around 220 and in shape. May be a bit too heavy. In gonna give my groin 1 more week of recovery and then decide.

Everything going decent. Only problem has been my right shoulder. It is definitely jacked up. I'm pushing through until now. I was trying to wait for a big payout I'm getting in June to order another round of TB-500 but I can't hold out anymore. I'm gonna order 3 months worth on the CC and when I pick up enough $$$ this summer I'll order enough to get to next spring. Them I'll go back to ordering a years worth at a time.
DL tomorrow then I'll be back to regular rotation for a week. Then I have two tournaments on back to back weekends. I'm thinking I will go Monday-bench and Tuesday-squat the first week and then Monday-OHP and Tuesday-DL the second, then back to normal.

Assistance was a bit of a struggle. Conditioning was just not there. I wonder if I cheated too much last night. I finished my last ever grad class and I had Five Guys for lunch plus a blizzard. Then chicken and pasta for dinner. I felt like I needed it but it must have been overload. No more. One cheat of chicken and pasta and that's it.
Going to decide this week whether to take that feature match. Probably after practice Thursday.
Ordered TB-500 from GWP. Should be here this week. Can't wait. Should turn up my game.
Squats tomorrow.

Not a great workout. Not sure what the problem was. Lost 2 reps from last cycle, although it was 8.5 pounds more. ??? I'll just chalk it up to an off day.
Got my TB-500 today and fired up 2.5 units. Gonna hit 2.5 next week then back down to 2.5 every two weeks. Always feels good when it soaks in.

Weight was down to 195 so I added in about 350 extra calories tonight, mostly carbs. Felt good rolling tonight.
 
You're been killing bro.. like the log. The only thing I caught that someone might have already advised is to use Sarms1 Ostarine and not LGD in PCT.

Then if you want a bridge.. keep using Ostarine stacked with HCGENERATE.. I love using sarms to bridge cycles

My plan is to start it day of my last pin then run it through pct, then another 4 weeks with HCGenerate, then I'll drop to nothing before a SARM's run late in the year.

No Gi at a different gym. Went with a high level black and a big purple. Hung with the purple, the BB was a bit much for me. I could sweep and did a lot, but no passes and he tapped me a few times with the same series. Found out my passing style makes me susceptible to crucifix.

Assistance up decent amount conditioning is going well. Smoothing out a bit. End of weights for the week. Going to roll and HIIT this week and make weight Friday night. Tournament Saturday. First time in the upper belts. See how things go.
 
Love the log. And the BJJ makes a difference from just lifting weights. Pretty awesome.. how do you find TB 500. Something I'm looking into having on hand at all times

I've used it before with good results but been off for a while. Feels good to be back on. I'm gonna start pinning 5ml every two weeks after this tournament. I spend about $500 for a years worth of everything. It's well worth it to me. I spent close to 400 on glucosamine and chondriotin before so it's only a little more for much better results.

Made 189 got bumped to 190+ anyways. Also no purple belts so I had to move down to blue. 2 wins. 1 by Americana, 1 by points. Got first.
Hoping to OHP either tomorrow of Monday. Not sure yet. Planning on hitting DL and then off until tournament next Saturday and then back on a my regular schedule.
 
Thanks. It was a good day. Had 5 guys and DQ to celebrate. Haha. Then an Italian sub late at night. Food and I have a love/hate relationship.

Getting back to normal lifting schedule next week, which will be nice. Things feel out of place right now.

Had to drop chins. Too much shoulder stress. I also limited OHP in my accessory workout. Trying to be careful.

Going back on eating plan today. Was planning on starting Monday, but I overdid it last night and this morning and I felt like shit by the end of the workout. I almost puked. I never seem to learn my lesson, post weight cut. Hahaha. Anyways back on track starting now. I am gonna up calories a bit, just clean ones. Little protein and carbs. Maybe 300-400 a day.

?? Good question. I guess I didn't really think about it too much. I've always been clean before this cycle when I competed (except for lasix to make weight), so I'm not sure.

How many other guys that you compete against would you say are on gear?

When people say to me "steroids are cheating" who am I cheating? I lift weights to look good. Period. But in this case do you see it as cheating? I'm not judging just like to see what you think and keep the log fresh.

I personally think most serious athletes are on stuff you can't buy in GNC so I would consider it a level playing field

I won't compete in any big, tested tournaments again until I'm off, so I'll have a clear conscience by my mind. Others may disagree. I will use SARM's for competition, even in the big tested tournaments, because they are not on the banned list for any of them, at least not yet.

I was asked recently to do a white collar boxing match for a charity. I had to say no. Not because of gear but because i had an amateur boxing background. But i wouldn't have a blip on my conscious over gear.

Assistance up pretty well. Pump monster seemed to get me some on the curls. Too many carbs maybe??

Shoulder is still buggin'. Ordered some bpc-157 today. See how it works out. Starting var finisher in a few weeks. Hopefully that will help heal it as well.
