First Cycle: Anavar Only

This is my first cycle ever. I am taking anavar 40mg per day for 50 days. I weigh 205lbs at 6'0.5"

Day 1: Chest

Didn't notice or expect any strength increase.

Bench 5x5 with 185
Incline 70x8 75x6x3 failed on last rep of last set
Dips 16 then 13

Day 2: Back

Noticed no strength increase once again.

Pull ups 8 6 then 160 on lat pull down for 8 then 140 for 10 with a slight cheat

Dumbbell rows 90x12 100x10 110x8x2
close grip cable pulley 210x8 180x10 150x12 slight cheat near end

Shoulders tomorrow... hoping to see some strength increases by next week.
 
Day 3: Shoulders and Legs

Military Press final set 85x12 (weakest exercise)
1 arm dumbbell press 40x10 each arm
shrugs 135x20 225x20 295x4

lunges 45 each hand 6 per legx4 sets
leg press 6 platesx10x2
abs tonight
 
Day 4: Arms
EZ curl bar 72x12 82x10 87x6 then x4 while supersetting with 15lb dbs for zottman curls

preacher dumbbell 25x10 30x8x3

close grip 115x12 155x10 175x6 couldnt touch chest from bi pump so about 2-3inches off

skullies 20 each side x12 30 each side x12 40 each side x6

then did bike for 20 mins burned 205 calories
 
For some reason my appetite has increased and so has my libido... And I still haven't seen any results so far.

More updates will follow.

Bench press did my max at 215 and strained my left pec going for 225

Incline 45x12 55x10x3 full rom reps

flyes 30x8x2 20x12

Still no strength increase.
 
Military press 90x14 up from 85x12 :)
dumbbell alternating shoulder press 45x10 2nd set 7 with left 10 with right.. gotta fix this..

Upped dose to 60mg/day. I have noticed increased libido and appetite as well which is the opposite of what I expected. Is that only during pct or what?
 
Did back today because my triceps are still sore from arm day.

yates rows 135x12 185x10 205x8 wasnt as strict for last 2 reps though
1 arm db rows 90x12 really easy compared to normal especially after doing yates rows.
110x10 I did stop and go form... my previous was 8 with this weight but apparently stop and go is easier because your lower back takes most of the weight? Either way I still did 2 more reps when i normally do 1 arm rows directly after I do pull ups.

I think the extra 20mg gave me a little more pump today too.
 
Gotta give it a few weeks to really kick in, at end of week 2 is when I really started to notice. Arms would tingle from pumps after workout, was nice feeling...

I was at 40mg Ed and ended up gaining about 10 lbs and getting down to 5-6% bf @ 183lbs. Be careful tho as with anything and make sure you are:

-Watching blood pressure, var can cause it to get crazy - I was 155 over 98 at one point (ask qs on the board Im no expert but I read tht taking test can help w this)
- have pct on hand.... Read http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/pct-post-steroid-cycle-therapy/post-cycle-therapy-376177.html now! Make sure you have clomid and nolva, you don't want to fuck up like I did. This will surpress you! Not saying it to scare you off it but just a warning because there is a lot of mixed info out there about it. I was shut down at 40mg ( at least surpressed to a level of 170 total test)...
- would recommend adding a natty test booster into pct to
- and have you blood tested eow or ew if you can, might sound like overkill and it ur body but Its a good idea to keep a close eye on you test, liver counts and cholesterol... Basically get a full panel test done. Orals fuck your system up a bit.
- might be to late now but you should have gotten a full panel test before starting so you have an idea of why you are normally.
- run liver support like milk thistle
- multi vit
- fish oil

Not saying it'll happen if you don't do these things but, when coming off I experienced horrible anxiety and withdrawal systems from it. Here's why,
I saw my bp being so high, freaked out and quit cold turkey. Big mistake! Some guys will tell you it's fine to stop right away but I can tell you from experience to let yourself down slowly. And to this day it's done slowly in the medical world to. My doc had to give me steroids to come down off the var. I found a lot of help in that post above on how to properly come off (http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/pct-post-steroid-cycle-therapy/post-cycle-therapy-376177.html)... For me when I stopped I believe I had an estrogen rebound and that's what caused the anxiety because I was supplying my body with essentially fake test and it stopped producing so much of it's own. When I quit like I did, the estrogen levels stayed the same unlike the test and all the sudden I had a surplus of estrogen and not enough test. Hence, then the anxiety was brought on hard.

And to this day (3mths later) I'm still surpressed (270 total test, should be in 600-1000 range at my age.. 22) and have daily anxiety problems... Again heres why, I went straight to doc and told all... Most docs have no clue wht to do and blame it on life causing you anx/depression, saying tht w down economy and people having added stress even if you don't think it effects you it really does and all this other bs so they can dismiss u and send you home with xanex and anti-depressants... There wrong tho.. I have been listening to docs (primary care doc, urgent care doc, er doc, urologist, and now an endocrinologist who knows low t is my prob and is helping, but the rest don't know about endocrine stuff so bypass em and go to an endo if younhave a prob) tell me to do nothing and let my body come back on it's own, which it will but who wants to wait 6mths to a yr of anxiety attack and depression? Fuck that, learn how to properly do a pct!

All that happened to me because I came off wrong. Now I finally made my mind up and started doing androbolix which is a natty test booster and supposably a pretty good natty estrogen blocker.. So far in 11 days I have found tht my libido is up, lifts are more intense, sense of well being is higher and lasting longer throughout day and basically my mood is just better, almost normal. I will have blood test to show if anything has changed in a ten day period on tht I will share with you later this week. But so far I can feel tht it's deff helping me feel better. Xanex use is down to .0625 mg a day now. That's almost nothing :-)!

During the cycle I tended to have times tht I felt a little woozy or faint and this was directly because of the high blood pressure and my body not being used to it. Again some people can deal with it and some have no idea it even went up. But when your in tune with your body you tend to notice a lot of shit. If this happens, laying down helped me to get by.




Sorry to writing a novel but I just wanna make sure no one has to go through what I did.
 
Dude don't be sorry.. I read it all.. Very informative.. I have not noticed anything out of the norm and if my dealer told me he gave me pez and my strength gains were placebo I'd believe him..

And yes I do have PCT (Nolvadex) on hand and have been taking flaxseed oil daily as well as a supplement for my cholesterol levels. I haven't been taking my liv52 but I'm going to keep it for later in my cycle.

I also have not felt light headed at all. I did some intense plyometrics the other day and where I'd normally have to sit down from being so exhausted I was actually fine and jumped in the shower for a quick shower.

I still find it weird though how I have not had any effects such as low libido and low appetite or what you mentioned above.. Even when I bumped it up to 60mg/day.

Now onto my log:
Chest: with slightly sore tricep.. var hasn't really helped with recovery yet other than my back not being that sore at all for the amount of volume I did yesterday compared to normal.

Bench press: I'm doing a 5-3-1 program I found on the net which required me to rep out at 85% of 90% of my max that I found last week. So I got 14 reps with 165, which is easily a personal best. Apparently that's equivalent to about a 240 max, but I can't see that being possible. Next week I'll do 90% to rep out with.

Incline: 70x10(pr) 75x8x2 in my first post I did 70x10 and 75x6 so theres a 2 rep improvement right there.

Dips 15 12 my triceps started flaring up at this point.

Shoulders and legs tomorrow unless my anterior deltoids are too sore then I will be doing biceps and legs
 
Barbell curl 95x5x2 3rd set started failing
db curls 40x9x3
hammer 30x10x3

barbell curls weren't much stronger but the dumbbell curls felt easier than normal..

legs
lunges 110x5 each leg then tried different style of 1 leg at a time but felt wobbly so I will use 40's next week and see how many reps I can get
leg press 270x12 360x10 450x8 40lb increase on last set over last week but most of these gains I would have achieved naturally because I just started working out legs a month ago for the first time in a while because of an injury.

leg curls 110x10 then 6 6

calves 270x12x2

Shoulders tmrw... thinking theres gonna be some good strength increase military press

close grip press 165x7 inch from chest instead of 3 inches. Tired shoulders hindered reps.
 
bench:185x9 95% sure I could have done 10 but spotter spots too damn early.

decline bench 175x12 195x7 205x6 (decline is soaring compared to what I used to do)

Going to go for 60x12 70x10 80x8 next week for incline

First off I think my balls have shrunken a little.. Not that noticeable though.. My libido isn't as intense anymore as well.

Today I tried running for the first time on the var. Five minutes in I took a break and holy fuck calf pumps almost made me cry. So I will be sticking to bike for cardio for the rest of the cycle.

Back:
Pullups 9 with full extension then 8
1 arm db rows 100x12x2 110x11 then x10 good form on all sets.. beat my old pr by 2-3 here
close grip cable row 210x10 old best was 8

I still have not noticed much physical differences even with my clean diet and hard training.
This stuff is as mild as they say.
 
Stepped on the scale today.. 210.8.. surprised felt like I would have lost weight.

Shoulders:
military press 105x13 this has increased over 20lbs since my cycle began.
Then I did dumbbell shoulder press after with same weight I used to do when I would do dumbbells first
traps 265x4 lost my grip think it was from my set of 225x20
Legs:
Leg press finished with a set of 610x6 all other weights went up 2 reps
lunges 12 a leg with 40lbs
leg curl 110x10 120x8
 
212lbs today.. Probably gained in my legs for the most part.

Arms day;
No real increases in strength here. I have noticed that my isolation exercises have not increased nearly to the level my compound exercises have.

I got 1 or 2 more reps in bicep exercises

and I close gripped 175x11 which was huge, but once again this is a compound movement. I did 103lb skull crushers for 8 as well.
 
lost a lb and bench was exact same as last week... Very disappointed in this. I have no idea why it didn't go up. I did a set of 175 for 12 and then 185 for 9. I pumped off the 12 really easily though. I should have just used that as a measurement of strength increase instead of the 185 because I must have still been tired from the previous set because last week I think I did 165 for 5 right before I did the max out with 185
 
back:
pull ups 11 consistently improving at these about a rep or 2 a week
barbell rows finished with a set of 225x12.. buddies at the gym were wondering where the hell that came from lol
tbar rows 5 35's for a set of 12
rear delts 30's for 6 once again isolations not getting much stronger.
 
Although your on.... If your not making Hugh gains in same lift try to switch it up a little. Instead of the bench all the time go use some dumbbells. I know that this really helped me. I stopped at 305 while on... Was that way for 3 workouts, so I hit the dumbbells hard and wall when I went back to bench towards the end of the cycle I was putting 325 up on bar right away and a week later hit 350 on bar. Then cycle ended and strength stayed for about ap2 weeks and started to die off. But I fucked my pct up. Your not gonna. I have high expectations that you'll keep most of what you gain.

Ps, ever look into hcgenerate? Taking it that last few weeks of your cycle...

Then doing post cycle and unleashed for a 4 week pct from needtobuildmuscle.net?
Only using the nolva if you have an issue on them?

Just saying I have been doing a shit load of research and have a buddy in hawaii that used this method coming off var. It worked for him and I will be using it in the future. Also a ton of guys on here and a few other forums have awaken to it. They are using this method to come off hard cycles of test and dbol.

Also hear formastanzol and hcgenerate together can bring you back from any cycle. And that's from need2
 
Ps how's the bp doing?

Taking a serious interest in this cycle cuz I don't wanna see you mess yourself up. Annnd I wish I had someone there walking me through it in the beginning. Sense of comfort or something like that.
 
Upped dose to 80mg/day for last 2 weeks of cycle.
Did chest yesterday and I guess the 80 made a diff because my lifts skyrocketed.

To be honest I haven't checked my BP since on cycle. I am going by the way I feel and I feel if anything better than before I started the cycle now that my diet is spot on and I am taking my HDL pills. When doing intense cardio I am actually less dizzy than I was before my cycle. And I am aware that I am retarded for not checking it.

Also curious on how long your cycle was and did you do absolutely nothing for PCT?
And what have you found in your research to be the best amount of Nolvadex to take? So far 40/20/20 seems to be the most recommended, but I am open to other suggestions.

I am also thinking of buying some tribulus or is UNLEASHED better?
Is this the same thing as the UNLEASHED you are referring to? bodybuilding/store/pfac/un.html

My cycle was 4 weeks exactly.

Had no pct because I was misinformed and didn't know you don't "feel" being shut down while it's happening to you because you have basically fake test running in your system, var is a derivative of test tho... Not exactly test... Is Why guys tell you test should be a base for all cycles.

I came off with nothing. Sucked!

I've found that 40/40/20/20 is the way to go with nolvadex based on research and my friends using it.

Yesterday I did shoulders
military press 125x6 which is a max equiv of 150 according to max calculators which has been the same for 3 weeks now.. But on the other hand the heavier I go the worse my maxes usually get according to max calculators.

Then I did 55x10x2 for dumbbell press. Before my cycle I did 55x8 when I was fresh.

Shrugs 285x8 used straps but had great form

Legs
Leg press 360 x10 1 leg at a time
Lunges 80 x8 each leg
assisted deadlifts off bench 315x6. I haven't done deadlifts for a couple months so I started low to make sure my back wouldn't be too shocked.
 
Arms today

45lb db x 11
preacher 93x8 I have never preachered that amount before. My training partner who normally does a rep more than me only did 3.

Hammer curls 40x12

Close grip bench 185x9 touching chest. I was benching this 2 weeks ago.

Overhead dumbbell extension 90x6

dips with 3 plates on lap x 8
 
So Sunday I ended up getting really sick and stayed that way basically until today... Had a bad fever. Didn't work out at all during this time and decided to end my cycle 2 days ago as I saw it as a waste to be taking all the gear without working out.

Been 2 days on nolva now. Feel perfectly good other than having a cough now so I hit the gym today.

I lost 4lbs definitely due to my lack of eating while being sick.

The shocker though was when I hit bench press today I repped out 185 for 13. This was while almost coughing during the set too.. lol.. So I lost 4lbs finished cycle was still kind of sick and still did the max calc equiv of last weeks bench. Very happy to experience this I must say.

Declined 225 for the first time as well for a set of 6.

So so far for chest my bench has gone up from 185x5/6 to 185x13 and I dont think I would have been able to do 1 rep with 225 on decline before cycle.

My total cycle length ended up being 45 days, so I am actually quite surprised in my strength gains, this stuff is as good as they say.
 
So any updates? Whatever happened with the end of your cycle? In pct now, right,

And I gotta tell ya, I'm on the hcgenerate, trs, gear, n2s now and wow! It's awesome. Can just feel the difference in mood, libido, strength... All round better. If you get in a jam (although I'm sure your prob ok w your proposed pct...) you should check those supps out.

Hell when your done your pct, run bridge, gear and need 2 slin... Sick combo similar to the above. Run that w ur mv and fo's 4 weeks and you'll be set for another cycle. Won't be disappointed either. I have used everything above but bridge (because I have hcgenerate) and I can tell you that you won't be let down w/ any one of them. And hcgenerate, if you can get it, is really strong. Tht alone mad my stuff actually kinda hurt because they were com in back to size. Sounds weird but it was amazing to me to see it work so well.
 
So..... it has been a couple weeks now and my lifts have not held up so well. My reps have probably dropped by about 4 per exercise and I am not entirely sure if this has to do with me being sick because like i said.. a couple days after I was sick I was still lifting a decent amount even when off the var.

ALSO I have noticed my left ball has started to progressively hurt for the last few days.

These are the only negative things I have noticed and my weight is up to 208.6 from 207 when I was sick. But an overall drop of 5 lbs from 213.6.

If my lifts keep dropping this cycle will have been a complete waste of time, money and health.

and currently I do not know where to get HCG from
 
Not sure w/ your nolva pct but nuts hurting signify them coming back to life.

Like I said as soon as started on hcgenerate my nuts HURT for about a week and for sure grew a bit. Felt like a straight up blow to the balls man. Hopefully that's what's happening to you. I believe it is because, well, nolva brings you back.

And your sickness may have been avoided w/ a better multi vit. (n2guard) Sucks it happened that way though, and your cycle was during the winter.

There are a million threads here about hcgenerate being a really really good sub for hcg.. Especially in less harsh cycles like this one. If I were you, I'd hit up needtobuildmuscle.com and get what I recommended now. And since hcgen is out. Double does bridge. I'm telling ya man it'll bring you back completely and you'll actually gain more from it then you did on cycle. I know I already have.

Add in forma from mrsupps.com and wow! I'm on all this now along with two friends. All did same cycle, all feeling awesome now because of this guy needto's products. Only down side is it's a ton of pills to take during the day.

Also if ur interesred in another oral/ph... More gains. Check oit helladrol. Ive become hooked on needto everything, I have never found a company put out product tht actually work like this guys. I mean wow to his products and wow to hella. I cant speak too in depth tho cuz im mot on it yet. I have everything but am waitong for a few friends to come off and then I will decide. But so far 75/75/100/100 is looking crazy. They are jacked right now and will be on for 6 weeks total so ill let u know how it goes.
 
Don't stress about losing a few reps on bench while coming off cycle bro, it happens to everyone. I'm glad your cycle went well, next time maybe try some test? You will feel superhuman
