FireFighter steroids??

Heys guys i"am new to this board and needed to know some vital information. Iam about to get drug tested for a full time fire position and needed to know if they drug test for steroids? Please only people or firefighters that know this answer for sure speak on the topic!!! I know alot of jobs dont test for steroids but I think the fire dept might. If you dont have the knowledge in this topic please dont post I NEED FACTS!!! Thanks guys

I have a buddy that is a cop and on juice. In fact we lift with a couple other cops that juice. I'll ask them but I know thier force does not test for gear. Never known any FF though.

When I was on I took a urine test for my work. They picked up protein leakage in the urine a side affect of the juice. They were not testing for steroids but got way suspicious and did more tests to understand the leakage. There is more to worry about than just if they are testing for a specific agent.

i was taking Deca but I know it can stay in ur system for up to 18 months. can you do anything to beat the drug test?

if anything bro, most firefighters i know are ripped and on juice...so i would think its an understood thing. More muslce, more strenthg, more lives saved..lol..jk, hope it goes good for you, keep doing your research. if so, then maybe theres other stuff you can do that won't show up, and or you can always say your on andro (legal stuff)

I have some firefighter friends here in canada and they were not tested for steroids, I can say this is confidence because it was an issue for a friend of mine.

Shit man, where do you live? I'm a firefighter medic in Florida, and most of my coworkerss are far from being ripped! Don't get me wrong, there are a select few, but those are the hard core squirells out there or the ones who accually come in to WORK and enjoy what they do! Face it, most people get into this shit because they are lazy. Cold hard, proven fact. Sit around all day, 66% of your calls are medical in nature. Fires are a Godsend rareity, and that's the truth, look up any fire dept run log. You only work once every three days, which means you work 10 days a month. It's a great job, yes, but alot of people get into it for the wrong reasons. Seen it over and over again. I myself love it. But I digress....

As for the testing of steroids, not anywhere here in North Florida, like you will read elsewhere, it is just too expensive. Now if you are built like a brick shit house, then they might throw up a flag. But for the most part, they only test for narcs, pain killers, etc. just the usual drug addicting items. Espesially since you are in the presence of some of these drugs and are able to use them on pts.

Exactly right. Some of my coworkers are in pathetic condition, but a few of us lift seriously. nothing better than working out every day and getting paid for it.

south beach area man...at least few of the bros i know...im sure not everyone, but the one's i've seen are usually at the nutrition stores and stuff...of course im sure if i saw the staff i would be saying it differently
