finasteride and fina answers?

Correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that flutamide is an androgen receptor antagonist. It will block fina from binding to the androgen receptor as well as endogenous testosterone and DHT.

I cannot understand why anyone would consider using flutamide. It blocks the androgen receptor both centrally and peripherally. Not only will anabolic steroids be blocked from attaching to the receptor, the brain will respond to the lack of binding by telling the testes to secrete more testosterone. But since this testosterone can't bind anywhere a large portion of it is aromatized to estrogen, leading to gyno, a common side effect of flutamide use.

After some research, I have to agree with Nandi. It seems like topical Flutamide, unlike Spironolactone, has almost none, if any local effect, but almost the same systematic effect as oral.
Bad choice!
