finally viewed "Ray" tonight........

thanks to blockbuster video.

taylor hackford makes some awesome films; this one is no exception. his seft, sensitive touch is as evident here as it was in "everyone's all american".

FOIKIN' AWESOME SOUNTRACK!!!!!!!!! dvd's are always praised for their excellent picture quality; but the crystal clear sound quality is seldom noticed on dvd's....unless u get one like "ray". crank this one up and enjoy!!!!!!!!

i noticed some old new orleans' landmarks in the movie.....places i drive by every day that were used for location shots.

i doubt the young ray charles was as pumped up as jamie fox is; but that is a moot point.......JF acted his ass off in this movie. he should win something for his performance.

Foxx deserves a best actor Oscar for this movie. This was a landmark movie, and I'm sure Ray himself has a big smile on his face wherever he is (playing a Yamaha grand in the sky).
