I have a severe aversion to needles to the point where I almost pass out when giving a blood sample. For my last two cycles I had my buddy give me my injects but this time I wanted to do it on my own. Having someone else give you a shot once a week is one thing but if you want to eventually shoot eod then you're going to have to learn to do it yourself.
I had 3cc of sust to inject, to be split up between two injects. I was going to do it today but I was feeling brave last night so I gave it a go. As a precaution I iced my glute at the injection site for about 30 seconds to dull the initial prick and went to it with an 1 1/2" 22g needle. I aspirated, no blood, injected 2cc at 1cc/30 sec. give or take. I chilled out for about 10 minutes until my anxiety went away and the cold sweat stopped then repeated for the left cheek. The whole experience was far less traumatizing than I thought it would be.
I slept face down with a hot water bottle on my ass as suggested by a buddy of mine when I was complaining of sust injection pain on my first cycle. I'm a little tender and stiff today but I think that the heat helped.
Anyone that thinks they can't give themselves a shot, just look at me. I'm the biggest pussy you will ever meet when it come to needles and I did it. You can do it too. Ice the spot and just do it.
