finally got my diet in order....

I have FINALLY actually TAKEN the diet advice posted here regularly and triumphed over the sugar cravings (almost, having one little sweet treat directly after workout only) and it's WORKING!

(surprise surprise)!!!! (3lbs down so far..... strength holding stready.....

Good for you! It's amazing how those cravings get less with time. If you don't mind my asking, what kind of sweet treat do you have post work-out and has it affected your progress at all?

At the start of Spatts diet I would have like 1/4 of an Atkins indulge bar and that took the edge off the cravings. It didn't hurt my progress at all, like send me in to an eating binge or whatever. :D

Glad to hear you're having success! 3 lbs is a good drop! When I think of loosing fat in lbs. I think of a pound of butter...3 lbs of butter is a considerable amount to get off your body! I'm curious too...what is the sweet treat that you're having?

yup I'm picturing exactly the same thing! Iimagine how MUCH fat there is in a pound of butter and remind myself how much that actually is.

for sweet treat I use a mini can of energy drink soda, ie glucose plus fizz. Since the idea post-workout is high-GI carbs, I doubt you can get higher GI than that. And I don't find it impedes my progress, as I can put off any major cravings thinking "I'll get my sweet treat after the workout".

Diet coke is very handy as well!
