Finally going on vacation.

Just for a week to Virginia. I wanted it to be driving distance so this place sounded good. I've had this vacation club thing for over 2 years and have'nt used it. I just booked the trip 5 minutes ago.

We're going in July. The place is a 3 bedroom (sleeps 8), it might be a townhouse or something. Has some kind of lake there, good enough for me. I'd be happy with a pool. Taking the wife and kid too, ehh, I can't go out for cigarettes for a week, they'll suspect something. lol I'm actually looking forward to going with my daughter there. First time on a mini"vacation" with the whole family.

It cost $99 for these "excess inventory" vacations they have. Why not? thanks bye.

TAN = Travel Advantage Network Personally it was a mistake because WE... don't use it and we still have to pay the $180 or so yearly fee for it. We paid $2400 for 8 weeks of vacations of our choice (not including travel) We have'nt used ANY weeks yet. This week in Virginia does'nt count as a week of the 8. It's only an "excess inventory" they post every Friday for whoever wants to pay $99 and take them.

You can take an unlimited amount of "EI" as long as you pay the $99 for them and still get the 8 weeks you paid for any other time for your choice of vacation.

They are gauranteed to be at least one or two bedrooms with kitchen or dinette type area in it for cooking etc...

Hmmm, I wish I could sell it. never thought of that. I was ready to stop paying the $180/year and just count the initial investment as a loss because we were never using it. This week still is'nt one of the original 8 weeks we purchased. At this rate, I'll never use them. Another kid on the way... we're not flying anywhere in the next year or two at least.
