Just stopping in to say hello and thank you to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday. K is on the way to all of you.
Interesting last two weeks for me, I totalled my truck after hydroplaning off the road and going through a divider fence.
First accident I have ever been in, but it wasn't the only one.
On my birthday my friend was driving us back home down a dirt road, lost control coming around a corner and we ended up flipping over and rolling down an embankment until some trees stopped us. I was the only one wearing a seatbelt and was hanging upside down against it. The Directional Driller, who was driving, had his head pinned under the truck. A girl in the back got thrown halfway out the window and was pinned under the truck as well. When I finally got free of my seat belt and climbed out there was another guy laying face down outside of the truck. Amazingly, no one was seriously injured. 3 people had to go to the hospital but were released in the morning.
I am just sore as hell and have some nice little bruises wear the seat belt was on my shoulder and waist.
To top it all off, I made a mistake programming my tool at the start of this well and we ended up drilling in the wrong direction for 370ft. MD. That could have cost me my job but luckily we missed the 5 other wells on the pad.
Good Times.
And hell I do get a new truck soon so it isn't all that bad.
Pretty sure my luck has run out though so now I have to watch my butt.
