I've read somewhere that it needs to be, but I don't think they bother shipping it with a ice brick, so I think you're ok... Just crush em up and toss em in
I put my pellets in the fridge when i got them. The only thing that it did was take a lot longer for them to break down and dissolve. I had to heat them up a little to get them to dissolve.
You don't have to put it in the fridge, it's not that delicate. You can leave it out for weeks with little noticable change.
However, they can 'melt' if they get too warm (left in a hot car). Keeping it refrigerated will reduce the amount it degrades over time and keep it from turning brown.
Yes it should be placed in the fridge...Trust me I personally go and pick mine up at our good friends and he has all of his in the fridge and gave me an cold pack for a 30 min drive home...Of course it is 95 degrees down here these days. As long as your fina does not have brown spots and is still yellow it is fine.
