fina conversion mishap

tripleb

New member
does anybody knowif water accidentally gets in fina solution mixture, will it ruin the conversion process. about a teaspoon of water got in during waterbath stage

It should be ok as long as it got in prior to sterile filtering.

perhaps you could hold the vial upside down, wait for the water to settle to the bottom and remove with a needle. This would take care of the water in the vial. But the question as to whether the mixture is contaminated still exists. Could use heat afterwards. Don't know if that would remove the contents of the water though.

I was concerned because there was a noticeable color variance between yesterdays batch and today. I did not know if the binders would disolve in the water causing the finished product to become contaminated. I used kit from finakits and was told that the magic solution could cause the color change. if anyone has 2 cents, please add.

Just bake it in the oven with a pin through the top and the water will evaporate.

Color variances can be due to slight varyances in the solution used to dissolve tren as well as how long the tren sat in solution to dissolve it. Color shouldnt be a big concern.
