Filtering 50ml jugs

I need help on how to get oil based 50ml of gear into 10ml pre-sealed sterile vials. Should I do all 5 vials at one time? does anybody in detail know the supplies you need and how to do it?

Yes it's IP. I've been doing research on IP and while I found people that didn't like it in the past, I found people that are on it now and loving it.

well see that's what I thought, but I contacted the IP company and they said they sterilize the product before they put it in jugs so there is no need to bake or use filters.

Exactly, if your worried about the product being sterile run it through a whatman filter before it gets into the 10ml vials. Hopefully the gear is clean but running it thru a whatman can't hurt.

IP stands for IP is brand of gear. I talked to the IP labs and he reassured me that the BA is 1%, but I'm gonna filter it through a whatman anyway, can't hurt.

Maybe I'm just clumsy, but I can never get filters to work, especially with oils. I always end up breaking them, so I now settle for baking my stuff to sterilize.

Heat the oil before pushing through a filter.

It cant hurt to heat it, then hit the filter...Then double the doseage, its usually under Lol...

50ml jugs $160.00 for supertest550 and $120.00 for EQ200 you can't beat that. I have enough to double the dose. So put the jugs in the oven and bake for 20 min.? Then fill the 5 pre-sealed vials? How long can that stuff sit in those vials before they are not good anymore?

Do not run it through a filter! Doing this will likely reduce the strength significantly. Filters should only be used for low mg oils.

-Stick a sterile pin through the rubber stopper of your sterile 10ml to allow the pressure the equalize.

-Use another pin and barrel to aspirate out of your 50ml jug and then transfer it into your 10ml. Wipe down tops of bottles with alcohol first of course.

-If you want to filter it, just stick a whatman on your transfer syringe. Heat the 50ml jug up a bit first to help with the filtering. You will want to have a couple of filters on hand because you may clog one up filtering that much stuff. Although, the gear should be clean anyways, so you shouldn't have to worry about any of that.

I've decided I'm not going to filter I'm just going to preheat oven to 250 degrees then slide those bad boys in there for 20 min. Take them out stick and 18g pin in jug, draw out 10cc. Stick 23 1.5" pin into sterile vial, attach 10cc syringe and fill that puppy up. Should I leave 18g pin in jug the whole time or take it out? by the way I'm using 18g pin to pull out of jug so it wont take so long.

Make sure you have just a pin sticking into the 10ml vials though. A seperate pin from the one you are transferring with. This 2nd pin stuck through the stopper will make it a lot easier to fill the 10ml vials. Otherwise you will have to push pretty hard.

yeah I know, and also dont you have to leave a pin sticking out of the jug when you bake it?

Yes, leave a pin sticking out if you bake it. You dont want your test exploding and coating the inside of your oven.
