filter size for contaminted gear???

i saw at get pinz they reccommend .45 micron for oil based liquids - is it stupid to use .20 micron (i know my gear is contaminated)

will just take me longer to gently push the liquid or it will clog up and won't work at all?

i dont know the answer to your question but i had some tes go cloudy on me once and i threw it away

I'd use a very large filter - say the size of a garbage can. If you know the shit is contaminted toss it.

i appreciate the input but i don't intend to use it unless it's sterilized by the filtration.

since the gear is trash anyway i figured i might as well try filtering it and then culture it - if something grows out i'll toss it...but it may wind up being totally clean afterwards.
