Is there anything to do for a black eye besides ice to help it heal quicker or reduce swelling? This shit really sucks.

I'm not sure about the effectiveness of the treatment, but a friend of mine once suggested tartar contol crest topically applied can reduce bruising. Anyone ever hear of placing a steak over a black eye?

Frozen steak works.. the main thing depending on how bad it is is to keep rubbing it to move the blood around under the skin. Crest has mint in it and anything with mint in it will help it breath and not feel all tight.

pretty sure everyone's heard of the steak thing
but the toothpaste is new, did he give any indication of why that particular toothpaste would help?

I would think some light cardio might help, increase bloodflow would increase the blood everywhere including the area bruised which would aid healing and the getting rid of the bruise
also ice is probubly best for swelling

I tried Preparation-H once. Not only did it reduce bruising, but for the first time in years I could sit eye-first on concrete itch-free.
