But for his lack of paying attention to where you are in your career, he has a valid point. You are going to be a law enforcement officer sworn to uphold the laws. And since steroids are classified "Federal Schedule III Narcotic" under our wonderful national drug policy, we have to assume you will enforce those laws as well. You cant expect to come onto a steroid discussion board and not get some flak about that.

If she is applying to a department that polys, yea. I was talking about just the piss test. If shes smart she wont apply to depts that poly recruits. But then that would mean working for a podunk dept.

she'll be handing out felony tickets to crack users all day, meanwhile she is using a felony substance and looking for ways to subvert the screening process...should fit right in with the LAPD
I thought stuff like speed and roids were standard issue for LAPD. Helps with job performance and such

yeah, you aren't doing meth/crack/wtf ever, but it is still a felony for possession, and still illegal.
certain LEO jobs polygraph, i know CHP does, and you will fail it and not get hired...the fact that you are willing to be a cop while knowingly breaking the law leads me to believe you would be a corrupt cop and willing to bend other rules as will.
for the sake of our society's law enforcement i hope you don't get hired, find another line of work cause you aren't morally cut out to be busting people's balls

I'd love to see us keep everyone out of everyone elses' pockets and just let anybody use whatever drug they want.
But then poor LittleT wouldnt have a job busting "dopers". An entire law enforcement area would collapse and all those goobermint jobs go bye bye. And we just cant have that now can we.
probation officers, drug counselers, the entire DEA, large portions of other fed branches, local police drug units, jails, rehab clinics, etc would loose funding and a lot of hard working drug warriors would have to find another war to fight and another segment of society to confine/fine/force into rehab...

I'd be fine with eliminating 100% of that.
What I wouldn't want to do is save $100B a year in enforcement, incarceration and surveillance and then trade it for another $100B in welfare, child protective services and rehabilitation.
thinking about it we already pay a fuk load for the above mentioned things, a lot of that being tied to the drug war (i/e bro get's arrested for cola, his kids get taken by child care, bro is forced into rehab clinic...the drug war pads a lotta people's wallets) i'd be we'd pay a little more in those dept's but the savings would gain putting the warriors out of work would dwarf the increase imo

If a person would sign-over their rights to some parts of the social safety net, we could issue them a license to do whatever drug they please.
how do you plan on passing the poly when you have used drugs multiple times?
never ever gonna happen, i know a bro who applied to the CHP and failed the poly for smoking weed a handful of times...the pattern of usage is what they are looking for, and you def would have a pattern.

in CA were she is applying the smallest amount of AAS is a felony, whereas weed is decriminalized and a civil infraction for under a oz.

unfortunatly i have to work with cops on a fairly regular basis...i'm guessing joose get's more of a wink wink response amongst them than if they were doing harder drugs...now a civilian getting caught with even a joose syringe is a different story (misd)
