Female Anavar Question

Yes, another 'girlfriend on anavar' question. Here it is:

-My girlfriend has done all the reading on her own and these are her questions. She wished to make the most educated choice possible.

1. My girlfriends skiin hates her sometimes and she gets a few pimples on the her shoulder blades and the odd one on her face. Is the anavar going to make her break out because of this? Is she more supseptable then others?

2. She wants to know (and so do I) from other female users the effects on libido.

3. Last one, she also would like to know how it effects the birth controll pill.

Thanks

Since I help figure competitors I can answer these questions.

1) Acne should not be a problem with anavar, but I've seen it happen in women very prone to it.
2) Libido will increase
3) She will most likely lose her period, but it won't have an effect on the pill.

Ok, so she keeps taking the pill and everything is fine, ie. i will not knock her up right?... it isn't acne and i dont think any skin problems are hormonal at all. I read earlier that you reccomend 5mg/day for 2 weeks then 10mg/day for 2 weeks? Is that correct? Thank you for your help.

Its great she's doing a lot of research ! My first questions are normally going to be - 1) what are her goals? 2) what are her expectations from choosing to run a var cycle? 3) how tight are her diet & training right now? (i.e. var & other AAS are only supplements to an already tight diet & training regimen.)

If I assume these answers are all clear and lead to an informed choice in pursuing a var cycle, here are my responses to the questions:

1) Reaction to AAS, even var, is very individual, esp for women, so hard to say. It can also depend on the brand of var - some may have some shit filler in them, some may be overdosed. Depends. Even at that level, you are still your very own petrie dish when it comes to choosing to use. There are no guarantees in results or sides. For acne, however you can use Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) which helps alot. Clean your face often, showers often because there is a general increase in oily skin & hair.

2) Probably more increase in sensitivity, some swelling down there. "Libido"-- i'm not sure its the same as it is for guys, but sensitivity increases.

3) No interaction between it & b/c. But note you now have 2 artificially regulated sources of opposing hormones now. The sides are that var will most likely "interrupt" her cycle but that doesn't mean she can't get pregnant. It also goes against what is the goal of the b/c in regulating her period - i..e make sure the cycle occurs every month. Its hard to say if that renders the b/c useless - the general practice esp for competitors is to go off b/c while cycling because they want to not have to deal w/ the estrogen related fat while cutting. I'd recommend using a backup method of b/c (e.g. condoms) while one.

Thanks for the reply Sassy! She basically would like to really firm up by adding some lean muscle mass. She hits the gym probably 4-5x per week and either does a but load of cardio with weights or the abs butts thighs class which is cardio and resistance training ( i think using mostly body weight)... I however would like to know more about var making the b/c pill less effective, We both hate condoms :)

No. I recommend starting off at 10 mgs/day and increasing from there if you're not getting the results you want. I have females routinely go up to 25 mgs/day of anavar w/o any problems.

I can't guarantee that you won't get her pregnant, but if you do it's not from the anavar... ;)

IMO not a good combo the pill and var. As soon as I started taking AAS I stopped the pill. Has she thought about an IUD that is one of the only non hormon forms of BC besides condoms.

I have taken Var while on BCP - several times. I do NOT feel my results were inhibited because of Var. I also did not become pregnant while taking both Var and BCP. BUT, as Mac. said, there is no guarantee. If you truely want to be safe, use condoms while she is on Var.

Indiviual response is very different. I am typically NOT acne/pimple prone - I rarely break out, even as a teen. But while on Var, my face broke out fairly often. WHile on cycle, I had at least 1 pimple on my face at any one time. I used stronger face wash, and that helped, but did not eliminate the problem.

I had NO change in libido, and no noticeable effects on sex drive or sex organs.

I do not agree with the fact that she can go up to 25mg. With her goals, if her diet is clean and her training is smart - then she should see great results with 10mg.

BUT, it sounds like her training is NOT ready for Var. SHe does a "butt load of cardio" - not a good idea for gaining muscle and/or losing fat. And her weights are an butt/thigh class? PUH-LEEZE. Not knocking the class, I bet it is hard- but for building muscle and defining? CHances are, it ain't gonna cut it.

If that is her training program, then she needs to start focusing a little more on compound, heavy movements; drop the TONS of cardio. Cardio certainly has it's place - but a ton of it? No way.

How about diet? What does she eat everyday? DETAILS.

Her diet is definatly in check, she does eat a lot of protein, and she eats clean.... she has a healthy appatite. She does cardio mostly because it makes her feel good and helps her justify cheating on her diet from time to time. When i say butt load of cardio i ment for my standards lol, she does approx an hour of cardio when she goes to the gym.... You know perhaps i should reccomend to her a mild dose of clen. I think she might feel the increase in muscle will help her cut up and loose fat, which i dont think she has much to loose at all. But perhaps the clen would just help her feel firmer and give her some more energy without going the hormone route. Oh While I'm here, another question for those girls... my gf is in great shape... though she may not think so, she's very firm and doesnt' carry much fat deposts, but she does have a bit of cellulite in her thighs, which is weird cause they are firm thighs and when i think of cellulite i think of some fatty... is there anything she can do (other then hard dieting and bringing her bf% down) to eliminate the cellulite?... she's 5'2'' 115lbs, C+ cup. (i dont know how to explain bf% of women)

She NEEDS to get her BF done. WIthout this point of measurement, her weight is irrelevant. I could care less if she weighs 115 or 155. WIthout knowing BF%, I have no clue what she needs.

Additionally, I think if we know SPECIFICALLY her diet and training, we would be able to give MUCH better advice.

You saying her "diet is in check" means nothing. The fact that she eats a lot of protein - fantastic. But what are her food choices, amounts, timing of meals, condiments, daily caloric intake, water intake, etc.

One hour of cardio is too much. Why do so much cardio? SHe would be better off dropping some of that steady state and doing HIIT instead. Steady state has it's palce, but not as the primary source of cardio.

WHAT ABOUT WEIGHT TRAINING?

Cellulite is genetic and not a ton can be done about it. Even thin people get cellulite. Heavy weight training would likely help immensely. And all the cardio isn't helping the cellulite situation.

10mgs.per day is all she should need. More weight training, less cardio. The cellulite might have to be surgically removed, that is the case most often, even with low body fat.

How exactly do you surgically remove cellulite?

Considering cellulite is simply fat pushing through the "holes" in loose connective tissue close to the skin's surface ..... What do you remove? Even if you remove some of the fat, you have not corrected the problem of the loose connective tissue .....

OMG move this to the womans board! Celulite is fat that is it plain and simple. Diet and training will get rid of any cottage cheese thighs no need for clen or var. Daisy pretty much nailed it with the she needs to lift more do compounds etc. clean diet with moderate cardio is all she needs. There is no easy way to lose fat it is hard fucking work.

IMO 10 mg a day of var is a lot for a woman. If you tend to gain muscle quickly anyway, then
I think it's best to start at 5 mg and see how your body responds. As others have said, everyone responds differently. And if 5 mg will do the job, why take 10 mg?

You can split them up - If they are tablets you can get a pill cutter and cut them in half. If they are capsules, get a small amount of applesause, open the capsule and mix the powder into the applesauce. Eat half of it and then 8-9 hours later eat the other half.

Var has a half life of 8 hours so taking half your dose every 8 hours will give you more benefit from it.

There also seems to be some misconception that var is a fat burner. It is a mild AAS. If you gain muscle mass from var, it will indirectly help you to burn more fat as a body that has more muscle mass will burn fat more efficiently. But as QT said, there is no magic fat burner. It is 85% diet and 15% everything else.

For most women... and men, the fat that you are carrying was not put on overnight. It may have been over a period of ten years. Will it take ten years to lose it... absolutely not. But will it disappear overnight - no way. It takes a clean diet first and foremost.

Think about this the next time you are thinking about having that dessert - a pound of fat is the equivalent of 3500 calories. If you walk on a treadmill at 3.0 and an incline of 15, you will burn 150 calories in about 10 minutes. So you have to do 230 minutes of cardio to burn off one pound of fat! If you don't put it in your mouth to start with you dont have to worry about how long it takes to burn it off.
