Felt old last night

So I went to Wendy's on my way home from the gym last night. After I got my food I sat down to eat. I had noticed the little wanta be gangsta kid in there but didn't think anything of him. You know the little skinny white kid with his hat on crooked a basketball jersey three sizes too big and big baggy pants. Well anyway he walks by me and says "excuse me sir do you have the time". I can't believe it he called me sir. Sir is reserved for people like my father or grandfather.

I think it's because you look really blurry and people can't really judge your age.

i think of "sir" as more of a term of respect rather than denoting old age. the guy probably took one look at you and recognized you wouldn't even fit into his baggy pants and decided that calling you "hey man" or "dude" would lead to his death quicker than "sir."

I've been called sir for longer than I care to remember. Even men who are obviously older than I call me sir. Any more I just let it float on through.

Hell I don't even remember what she looked like. They all look like little kids anymore to me so I don't pay attention. The only reason I remember him was from him calling me sir. Damn old age senility.
