Feet swelling?

Does anyone know what causes this?

There's a new girl at work that in the last several weeks she has had her
feet to swell.. That it's very uncomfortable for her to even walk!

you'd need to tell us more about her, as there is a lot of things that can cause a swollen foot

seriously, tell her to see her doctor, it could be just about anything from oedema to a ruptured bakers cyst to a really nasty insect bite depending on what history she has, as all of them have different causes...

if i couldnt walk the first person i;d see is a doctor!

Is she on her feet alot? What does she do for a living?

its probably adema tell the camel to drink some water to flush it out not being rude just means she's retaining

I've been telling her to drink a lot of water.. And she says she does.
Also I've asked about her diet...She says she doesn't eat much salt.
But I have seen sweets at her desk. And she has just gotten over a UTI.

She works at a desk, doesn't have to get up a lot.
I think she would be better off if she did get up and move.

Its hard to fnd out more about her without being able to talk to her face to face & know more about her, but swollen legs and feet can be serious, and its probably worthwhile a doctor examining her to be sure (for example oedema in the feet can be a sign of right sided heart failure caused by venous hypertension, and could probably be picked up with an examination, but only by a Dr.)

again she may not even be at risk of this, as there isn't much information about the woman, so its best she see's her doctor....it could alternativly be something as benign as a pressure sore but I sure as hell wouldn't want to chance it from this end

its what i said beofre her circulation is shot too from sitting all day no doubt her back side of her legs are fairly out of shape too...... basicall she needs to flush her system and get her ass into some form of routine

Usually something like this is related to poor periferal vascular circulation or renal defiency, meaning her kidneys arent working properly and she needs to see a Doc. Worst case scenario is they will run some labs and probably put her on a mild dieuretic. Tell her to go to a pharmacy and buy some support TED hose as well. This will help with poor circulation or vericose veins.
