Just wondering if you guys have a mind fuck starting a cycle after dieting down to single digit numbers. I have busted my ass getting down to under 10% bodyfat. I have been on my cycle for almost 3 weeks now. The problem each time is, I feel fat as hell from the water gain. This time around I gained 13 lbs in the past 3 weeks. That in turn makes me slack off on my nutrition plan thinking I'm getting fat again.

Just wondering if any of you guys have a tough time with this mental block.

Also, how do you guys monitor fat gain as opposed to water gain of a cycle.

theres more to life than being in single digits bodyfat bor. But if it stresses you out that much just do all your homework with this stuff and let the chips fall where they may. Its not an exact science with all the different individual tolerances.

Want to have a mind fuck? Try competing and getting down to 4% BF and then bulking... :worried: That sucks.

Well, you'll be glad to know your not the only one! 12 months ago, Gunthar was at a dinner party and was asked to do a guest pose as a special favour. He got taken unawares and politely refused to take his shirt off. No amount of persuasion would convince him to take it off and pose. I have no doubt but that he was on a bulker and conscious that he'd get the "You need to trim down a bit" jibe from people who don't understand BB.

I would say that you shouldn't worry at all about bloat or water or putting on a few pounds of BF while Bulking. In fact, you should accept it. Eating loads of clean calories will make cutting alot easier. Then, when you start cutting, you'll look $1m! Have a look at Jay or Ronnie or any of them when Bulking and they "look out of shape" even though they aren't. As Shakesphere wrote in Hamlet "There's method to my madness"!

Listen, the bloat might not look good aesthetically, but the extra water retention helps lubricate your joints during a cycle. Since you'll be jumping up the rack, this will reduce friction and pain. So it has benefits. Water is not BF bro, it will be pissed away, sweat out, or evaporated. If anyone should be conscious of BF and water it should be me.
I have 18%bf, but I'm not trying to cut right now, I want to add on some good muscle before I dry out and do some t3/clen. But, conversely my bf has gone down since my cycle. I dropped 2% in 5 weeks. Even though I notice the water retention, I know it will go away. Isn't aas fkn great!?
