What are all these? When I measure my fat intake I just look at toal fat. Is this wrong? I think so. So which ones are the EFA`s Essential Fatty Acids?

A good way to remember it is to avoid "animal" fats such as fat from meat and dairy products. This is saturated fat = bad. That's why you want the meat you take in to be as lean as possible.

The better fats come from vegetable oils like flax, olive, peanut.

Yes count all your Fat even good fats(EFA's). You want alot of Monounsaturated and Polyunsaturated Fats from the sources gymtime has listed for you. Most will recommend Udo's or Fish Oil blends.

Thanks gents. I just bought flax seed oil is there a big difference between that and the olive oil I`ve been downing? is flax better?

I believe flax is higher in omega3 fatty acids which means that yes, it's better to take as a supplement. But olive oil is still fine to use on salads or for cooking.

Protein sources that graze on grass and/or algea rather than grain fed sources tend to be rich in Omega-3's.

I am under the impression that its ALOT better to be Taking in Flax rather than Olive oil. Although Olive oil is good, its mostly Mono's.

Olive oil does contain EFA's but not to the same extent as Flaxseed oil; flaxseed oil has proven itself to be, by far, one of the best tool to aid fat-loss (help release fat-stores).

flax seed and fish oil = poly unsaturated (omega 3s)
olive oil = mono unsaturated

both are useful

but you can't cook w/ poly unsaturated oil
