The last few days ive noticed my daily fat intake has been down to around 8 - 13 percent, around 23g. My goal is fat loss with 3-4 days of exercise. Can somrbody shed some light on how much fat I should be getting.

Ive been eating lean meats, fish, cottage cheese, and really low fat cheese, but ive been neglecting nuts. Should i lower my carb intake and add the fat? I cant seem to get my carb intake below 200, and 150g on a good day.

Im 6 feet, 198lbs, hoping to go down a few more pounds before i concentrate on building muscle.

I would recommend getting your bf measured by a bod pod, both so a) you know where your at and where your going b) you know how many calories a day you actually need to take in, with or w/o exercise. from there you can whittle away at your overall caloric intake and know how many calories you need to subtract out.

hope this helps

Tony.

think of cheese as sugar, just like milk and it will change your idea of eating it.. I know it taste good especially on a protein rich diet.. but fats are good for you..

IMHO, encouraging a fat loss on a fat-deficient diet is a futile endeavor. You should look into EPA and DHA supplementation to get your omega 3 fat intake up. Carbs, also IMHO, are never "fat loss friendly" outside of the 2hr pre and post workout window... But as I subscribe to IF, this belief will likely conflict with many opinions in classical nutrition and on this board.
