Failing to Plan -?

I never fail to plan........seriously, as I feel it's a disaster in the making......however, how anal is too anal......let's say you train at 1:30pm. You finish around 3 ish and you get a good whey/dext or whey/oats/berry shake in by 330........the lady wants to go xmas shopping.......do you pack a friggn meal for the mall?? Seriously. I've done it before, but is it too damn anal? Obvoisuly the food court is there........chinese, popcorn, pretzels, gyros, burger king....pizzas...and subway........?
 
anal is never TOO anal for the dedicated bro...im like you though...depending on where you are at in the scheme of things...bulking or cutting...i pack a meal.
 
If I am bulking then OK… The food court will do. If I am dieting I will bring my own meals.

It was hilarious over Thanksgiving. I think I brought more food with me ( We were there 3 days) than we had for the whole family on turkey day!!
 
packing a meal makes sense to me. I do it all the time, many times its a zip lock baggy of protien powder (i dumpp it into a bottle of water) and some fruit but gotta eat the good stuff to make the most of the workouts.
 
I am so anal i would have had my shake in my body by 3:01...
I would have shown the food court who was boss by 5pm too!
 
I am so glad to hear I am not the only freak around. My wife about has me commited every time I pull the same crap. Like tonight she wants me to meet her for family pictures for the Christmas card and wanted to know if I can be there by 4:30...so as I am calculating when to eat my next meal after my 2pm second lunch and then when I can make it to the gym and then hopefully get back in time for MNF tonight....she hears me talking to myself on the phone and looses it...."Just get your ass here by 4:30...you can eat and go to the gym later!" Of course she is 8 months pregnant and has more roid rages in a day than I have ever had in my life!!!

man when i read all this i was like "boy i was thinking the same exact shit today", whether im in class (police academy) or at work (corrections officer) and im at break or even in the middle of class and watching the clock and waiting for the 2 to 3 hour mark and i pull out my glad microwavable containers with the chicken breast or tuna (plain) and oatmeal (plain) that i just add water too i always get asked, "are you fucking nutz" and i respond with a "no more then the average dedicated BB'er (mouthful of oats as i talk lol)"...........karma to everyone in this post
 
I don't think you can be too anal either. I'm forever planning my day at where I'll be every 3 hours. The NFL Network says life happens 10 yards at a time. For me it happens 3 hours at a time. I'll even pan hald meals. let's say I had to X-mas shopping at 3pm and I had to eat at say 1:30pm. I'd have a meal with half the macronutirents I normally consume that at just before 3pm, I could eat a meal to hold me over till 6pm when I could be gettin another proper meal in. I also plan on where I may beand if it's a carb/protein/fat meal or a protein/fat meal. I'll plan accordingly if there's a Subway or a restaurant where I can order a good meal. Or I may make sure I can at least get some low-carb protein bars or a protien shake at the very least, whether I buy it where i'm at or bring it with me. You can never be too anal.

if im bluking idc whut i eat....
i try to get a healthy good balaanced 5000 cals in me, anything on top of that can be pizza and pretzels... many people wouldnt agree with that but as an ectomorph i can get away with it

LOL, I just did this on Saturday! I packed my little lunch bag and took along my normal goodies...
 
cutting sure....but my thoery is too put on mass, one must eat....so buy a shake at gnc and go to the food court and grub....thin about it, we measure out 1/2 cup oats for a am carb source........do you know how many carbs are in a freagin snickers mar or mocha java from Starbucks? 40-50-60.....lol....that a joke....the avg goofball would easily drink a 300 cal coffee or a huge pizza = 400-500 a piece......that;s like 3 cups of dry oats, some eggs, turkey sausage and a shake.............
 
everyone who gets to know me wether at school, work, or socially knows that if they see me my portable cooler is not far behind. I've had gf's who would get pissed at my desire to order non fried foods when we would go out but thats just cause it made them self concious about eating all the shit they loved to shovel into there faces.
 
cut or precontest, FINE! I agree 100%....you need toput full effort into your diet.....bulking during the winter months is 100x easier if you relax a little with your diet, get in the required protein, and everything else within reason is fair game....makes dieting 100x more fun too...trust me, I've eated clean for 5 years and paid the skinny ass price.......

LOL! So true x con! Women bitch about being fat but they sure as hell dont mind chowing down on BS food and candy all day! Then they get pissy when those fad diets don't work! :rolleyes:
