I have no problem with John Kerry's war record or Bush's record. If fighter jets would have ever been deployed in Vietnam, Bush would have been there. As it stands, they were not.

The spit that rained down on the vets as they came back had more to do with the lack of class on the parts of the people spitting on them than Kerry. The people of the US had a right to protest the war and demand that our involvement there stop. The soldiers deserved significantly better treatment than they received coming home, and unfortunately the sorry excuses of individuals who saw fit to spit on them didn't have the intelligence to understand that these soldiers were doing their jobs and spit instead on the governmental institution that sent them and kept them there.

I just viewed the people who did that as cowards and derelicts.

Cassius Clay tossed his Gold Medal into the river in Louisville. John Kerry tossed someone else's medals into the river. His medals adorn his Senate office now.

At any rate, I respect John Kerry's military service. I also respect Bush's. He could have easily avoided service altogether, and he could have found something less dangerous to do than fly jets.

I support Bush, I disagree with all the mud slinging the Democratic Party has been doing, so lets set the record straight.

He once denoubnced his involvement with the military, but now he uses his previous military experience as something which should give him credability. His medals are on display in his office, yet he is ashamed of his service. He is a poor choice, dems would have done better to nominate Hilary. They will still lose in my opinion. They are talking about Bush being awol, and 911 conspiracy, because they have nothing. Oh, they also say the economy is down due to Bush and his Tax cuts. I guess they are also mad about the fact Bush doesnt like members of the same sex getting "married".
