It was created for harvard graduates by some harvard genius. It got so famous in harvard that they allowed everyone to take part of it. I have 800+ friends, a lot of which are business associates, models, famous athletes, bodybuilders, university friends, school friends, etc...It's the frickin bomb. It lives off of the advertising on it. Google offered the creater billions of dollars and he refused to sell it.

whichever has more of my friends. which is all that i use it for. contacting people i know. And so far, most are on myspace. Some are on facebook. Myspace allows to write bulletins reaching all. I don't see equivalent feature in facebook.

I generally prefer Facebook, where I've limited the number of friends I've booked to people I know from real life. Occasionally though, I find myself longing for the unsolicited e-mails that "Svetlana" would send me on myspace, inviting me to visit her other website for a private show via webcam. I think we developed a real bond over the years.

I've never used either. The way I gather it from opinions of friends is that:
Myspace is the version for kids.
Facebook is more for "young adults"
LinkedIn is for business purposes, and you wouldn't be considered "gay" with a profile there.

I personally think I am too old for myspace or facebook. I could see the advantage of having one if you were over, say 30, and were a rock star/porn star/pro athlete/movie star/etc. though, and needed it to reach a demographic (kids).

LOL I'm only on Facebook because about half of my freshman residence hall (the fun half) from college is on there and that's how we stay in touch with each other. I know, it's weird, but it's a thing.

And I keep a myspace page so I can talk to Cal_21 whenever I want.

Yeah, it was easier for me to take the stuff down then set permissions for all the users. I'm rarely on it, maybe a few times a week at the most.

Yeah, it is weird. I recently opened an account because my high school is prepping for its 30th reunion. I see a lot of my friends and peers on there, but also my teenagers and their friends have accounts there.

My shit has to stay wayyyy above the smudge line.

Also, for what its worth, myspace is blocked at my place of employment and facebook is not.
