eye floaters

When I enter a white room, I have noticed little amoeba like creatures floating around in my eyes. they are clear with a black edge. I really only see them when it is very white or bright. I do not know when they started. Is this floaters ? Is this permanent ? Is there something I need to do about this ? Will it get worse ?

If it helps, my eyes are very sensitive to sunlight.

I've had them for sometime....it's like watching a ballet on your eyeball. Think...Blue Danube. :)

I have two floaters in my right eye. I've had them since I was 12. They are really not noticable unless you look purposely for them in a lighted room. My optometrist tells me, that they are tiny pieces of retinal tissue from the eye that tear off and "float" in the eye. They can easily, and pretty cheaply, be removed with a quick and safe laster surgery. I am not having it done for a while because I would never think of having a "planned" surgery of any kind while on a cycle.
