EXplain please do we need T4 at all?

can somebody explain me.

Why someone hypothyroid with low T4 and also T3 and with poor conversion into T3 is not suplemented with Cytomel only? If T3 is an active form do we need T4 ( synthroid) at all? if there is poor conversion of course? what would possibly happend , if hypothyroid person is getting only cytomel and her/his free T4 are below the normal range? Does it have any sides? Do we need T4 if there is proofed poor convertion.

I have zero thyroid now and take synthroid everyday. I can't really answer your question but I was briefly on cytomel and I know it's a fast acting thyroid med and synthroid is more of a time released so I believe that would keep your levels more constant then up and down from cytomel.

thx, I just realized that my body probably needs T4 too. When I was on T3 only I felt like crap..it's better now.
