I have read that if you undereating and overexercise you can gain weight right??, but in this case why anorectic models or anorectic are so thin why they don't gain...they starving, they don't eat?? Just what the principle is..

Not exactly true.......

undereating and overtraining can cause a drop in lean body mass.

Anorexia is completely different.....its a total avoidance of food or hatred for oneself for eating.

at least thats MY definition.

It is a mental disease as much as its physical manifestation

Fitness Advice Answer:
The first thing you need to do is increase your calories! If you're truly eating only 1,000 calories/day, your body will most likely go into a "storage" mode. This is basically because the moment your body thinks its not getting enough food, it will horde all the calories and hold onto the fat since it thinks its going into starvation mode. Your body will also slow down your metabolism because it thinks a "fasting state" may be close and it will want to preserve as much energy as possible. This is done through holding tight onto the fat stores and not releasing them.

The key is to increase your calories with highly nutrient dense food to fuel your body! I would recommend not eating any less than 1,500 calories/day and make sure your protein levels are kept high. In terms of diet, I would focus on lean protein sources (chicken breast, turkey breast, egg whites) and lean fibrous carbs coming mostly from non-starchy vegetables (broccoli, mushrooms, yellow squash, green peppers, etc.) Try and limit all starchy carbs from your diet and limit fruit after 6pm, since it contains lots of simple sugars which will effect your insulin levels and hinder your weight loss.

In terms of exercising, limit the "2 a days" and stick with a highly intense 1 hour session 4-5 days/week. If you're training twice a day, you will eventually burn out and never want to go to the gym again. Hit it hard for an hour and get out of the gym. Your 1 hour workout should consist of 30 minutes of weight training and 30 minutes of high intensity cardio. For weight training, focus on one main body part per workout and try to take every set to positive failure to really tax the muscle and make it grow. In terms of cardio, burn some major calories with high intensity interval training and focus on exercises such as jumping rope and the treadmill.

So the diffrence must be that you are eating just enought for you body to start hording it.....

Oh and with HT....I know he loves my body lol....

Usually, anorexic persons have gone past the body's 'guard fat stores, lean times coming' routine that triggers to an 'on-going far below metabolic needs calorie intake'. Any starving person will a) take off all non-essential metabolic tissue (muscle) b) use up all fat stores c) begin to cannibalize essential but non-CNS tissue (organ fat & tissues, bones) d) die of metabolite imbalance caused by advanced starvation. What causes the 'gain weight' on 'undereat/overexercise' is essentially an variation of yo-yo dieting, not anorexia. Muscle disappears, taking with it the necessity of fueling, but the diet is ACTUALLY varying from under-eating to maintenance to possibly over-maintenance calories as the metabolic tissue is cannibalized and the body swings from catabolic to anabolic states due to exercise and varying fueling. No 'true' anorexic will ever binge or take a 'cheat' meal, or if they do they will usually vomit or use laxatives to remove the calories, making their disorder much closer to the definition of 'bulimerexia', which will still starve a person to death.

I have and am batteling anerexic nervousa....NEVER had a problem eating.......I eat every 2 hours...3,000 Kcal....problem is, I had and have he urge to train every single day...so its an exercise disease as well.......at 6'1 and 160 it looks and feel like anerexiia but different....

btw - no cheat meals in probably...oh.....7 years.

Jkurz I've been reading your posts for awhile - I wish you luck w/ everything I can tell you struggle with food and body image.

JKurz you are way too hard on yourself you look great! im sure you know that though.

Well then maybe you are not aneroxic....you distorted body image...which is also a huge problem and is linked in with eating disorders

foods that are "safe" and "unsafe" like anorexics do. They are different but has many of the same things though.

I've heard anorexics talk about "safe" foods that are ok to eat such as raw veggies ; jello ; etc.

Safe foods for some are just like oats brown rice chicken; etc. but cant seem to manage or is scared to eat a cheat meal ; and cant function because there is no room for error in their diet.

MY SAFE FOODS:

OATS
RICE
WHEY
EGGS
STEAK
CHICKEN
YAMS
SQUASH
VEGGIES IN GENERAL
ALMONDS
WALNUTS
PEANUTS
COFFEE
TEA
TURKEY
OSTRICH
BISON
ALL FISH (EXCEPT SALMON - HATE IT!!!)

that's what I eat 7x a week everyday.....plain and simple

It is impossible to look to runway models to "explain" fitness principles. Runway models are built a certain way - they are NATURALLY long and skinny, minimal muscle, minimal visible body fat. Genetically, they are designed that way.

It also can be pretty easy to stay "skinny" when you live off of caffeine, cigarettes and cocaine/meth/heroin. Not ALL models use drugs - of course - but I imagine it is quite prevalent.

If your ultimate goal is to look like that - they good luck to you. I bet there are some dealers in the shady area of town that will be happy to give you the "cycle" that will help you gain that look - cocaine, heroin and meth.
