Exercises for the GROIN

i need some groin exercises, it seems like it is a weak area for me as a strain it often in my throwing workouts....karma for help!

Maybe lunges. Wide squats. Trying to refrain from any dirty comments, lol.

At my gym we have a machine that you sit down, and stick your legs into. You can either squeeze your legs together, or push them apart. The squeezing together would help strengthen the groin muscles. Not sure if your gym has one, but other than that I couldn't think of another way..

Focus on rehabbing it and makes sure it's stretched before your train after it's healed. Groin pulls will just reoccur if you don't allow it to heal. The actual "groin" muscle typically refers to the gracilis and the 3 adductors. The adductor machine that was aforementioned will help strengthen it and as will the theraband work. Adduction meaning bringing yoru knees in, not apart. Hope that helps.

Pilates?

Sounds like sissy stuff but it's good for your core.

Balance boards will help somewhat w/ adductors.

Not really sissy stuff.

For chronic groin problems Pilates is an increasingly common remedy used by professional athletes.
