Okay I am starting to feel so much better everywhere but in the love handle department. I am building muscle everywhere but can't seem to get to that proplem spot..
What would you all recommend for this area? Is this just mean I need more cardio for fat loss?
They just won't freaking go away!!

bunny....thanks for the thoughts today!!

That's essentially estrogenic fat -- part of being female. Just keep plugging away at the diet & cardio - you can't spot reduce - so this is just goign to the place where you happened to have a greater concentration of fat cells so if you drop 2% bodyfat - it will be apparent on your upper body where you (and most women) have much smaller concentration of fat cells, but it may not look like anythign happened in your waist area. Its just going to be the last area where you see the change more apparent.

The catch w/ doing 'more exercise' there - you are building ab muscles which sit underneath the fat -- so if you go the approach like oh say 2000 sit ups every day hoping that will whittle away at the fat in that area - the little bit of cardio effort may contribute to the overall bodyfat burning, but locally you might even end up looking thicker because you're building up your abs. (Basically just like the rest of your muscles build up).

The closest we can come to "spot reduction" is stuff like Yohimburn.

Another contributor can be water if its that time of the month or you are feeling bloaty. But just for the fat component - just keep plugging away.

So more cardio it is then! I can really tell the change everywhere BUT there!!! I am starting to see definition in the top of my abs but I guess I just have a bit more fat to lose.
What your saying is making sense, someone told me I don't need cardio to lose weight.......I don't think just lifting is gonna get me to where I want to be. My gym just starting a spinning class that is twice a week....that will kick your a@@ more than I ever thought it would. He said it could burn 500-700 cal a session! Hell, I was goina anywhere from 30 min to an hour and only burning 260 max!! This might help. Might also try there other classes.

thanks!

Diet is going to solve that issue more than adding more and more cardio. Fat loss is MOSTLY diet-related.

If you already are doing cardio - take a look at HOW you are doing cardio. Change that to HIIT if you want an additional kick in the ass.

Make sure diet is balanced and macros are on point. If diet is off, even just a little, then results will be off - often by a lot. Tiny changes in diet can make for HUGE changes in results.

Also look at exercise timing - maybe change when you workout or even the mode/exercise choice.

I did pick up a spinning class at least once a week...I think that would fit into that HIIT because she makes us increase and decress resistance along with speeding up and slowing down...even standing while biking--It was more brutal than I thought!.

I am doing great. Hitting the weights hard and gaining size. I just about died the other day. I did something that I totally did not want to do. I got my ass on a scale. OMG!! Thank goodness I don't LOOK fat. hahaha When I first started this about 3 months ago I was at 125 and now, a whopping 138. Already having to buy new pants cause mine are wayyyyy too tight in my butt and legs. ;) I officially have a bootie!! YAY me.

Thanks a million!
I am just impatient. I can tell the difference everywhere but that problem area...I have been eating really good...(weekends can sometimes be a challange) and I have been going to gym anywhere from 3 to 5 days a week. I don't have time to get to gym in the am so I always try to do something at home like crunches, leg lifts..etc....just something I figure it's better than nothing.

Whenever I start to feel discouraged, I come give yall a scream  You always but me back on track. I keep hearing of people seeing real results in a matter of weeks and that is what got me discouraged. I guess that I will just need more time.

Thanks again!!!

But you ARE seeing results.

Rome was not built in a day. You did not get "out of shape" overnight. It does take time. You are seeing SOME improvement, so that means it IS working.

if you can't get to the gym - buy a DVD/video for home use. Check out FitTV if you have cable. If you have digital cable - check out their On Demand channel (where the pay movies are). There is usually a Health and Fitness channel (free) where you can view exercise shows. Some are really awesome!
