Is there such a thing as a free excel sheet download? All I can get are viewers and then you have to buy the ones that you are able to punch in numbers. Any links?

If the spreadsheet's relatively simple, you can use google's web-based spreadsheet application to open and edit .xls files. You may have to sign up for a gmail account to get access to that, which you can do at www.gmail.com

If you really want a (not entirely legal) copy of Excel, you can find one on pretty much any p2p network.

Google's spreadsheet was one thing I was going to suggest. Also, there are open-source programs you can download and install free of charge. Maybe give OpenOffice's Calc a try.
