The beginning of Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano concerto is evil that builds up and overflows in the first minute or so. Look for recordings by either Idil Biret or Jeno Jando.
Rach's preludes are powerful sounding and also good for just building/releasing tension, such as opus 32 no. 10 in B minor and no. 4 in E minor. Idil Biret's are good for these as well.
All classical music, as is the case with other forms, is best played loudly.
